let's gooo duel sauce is back babyy. My brother's favourite deck is 2003 Gravekeepers and mine is a 2020 HERO deck, so we decided to try and see if the keepers could stand a chance. Surprisingly, under the perfect conditions, they can! I know HEROs play a lot with the graveyard, but man I was not expecting a 2003 deck to beat a current one. Of course, you'd need the exact cards to respond only the most crucial plays and don't even think about starting second, but hey, it is possible
Fun Fact: Cobraman Sakuzy's localised name is not the official translation according to Yugipedia, but not inaccurate. His name in Japanese is "Hanjajin Sakuzy", and Hanjajin can translate to either Cobraman or Snakeman, the latter of which is the official translated name. Translation is fascinating.
This set is also my favorite, I would love to open even 1 pack. I recently finished my personal deck and it has 15 cards from the set, I like its art and concept
Grave keepers have an interesting place in yugioh history with them popping up from time to time in various formats they even popped up during plant synchro format alongside the famous fish otk deck.
@@JanjoZone You should talk about the fish otk deck since it has a huge part in yugioh’s history. There were some interesting combos the deck could form like with cards like red nova dragon and armory arm.
Helpoemer is pretty damn creepy in the Japanese Dub of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, for it's appearance, the portrayal of it's effect, and above that; the sounds it makes.
I love playing gravekeepers in goat format. Spear soldier is so good against goat control. Can beat over airknight and does 2000 damage against goat tokens. Even if it gets destroyed you can always revive it with rite of spirit. Kycoo and My body as a shield are really good techs to protect spy against NOC and your monsters against battle traps/torrential. Kycoo works as a beater and backup for necrovalley if it gets outed
Didn’t buy boxes back when this came out, ya girl was broke being 11 and all… but Helpoemer was the first set cover card I pulled from loose packs buying them one at a time a lot from toys r us. Loved the grave keepers too obviously. Somewhere in my parents attic there’s a binder full of holos from this set because I bought so so many. Love the videos!
