Oh man!!! My dad sounds so good in this!! Armond, brother you've never sounded better!! David and Russ hold down everything and help keep it tight. Of course, David and Russ both sound phenomenal and I'm so proud of my dad, Jim. Nobody can do it like you dad !!
WOW, This brings back great memories !! My twin and I opened for the Imperials at Ovens Auditorium in Charlotte NC. I think it was the first concert without Russ . Mylon and Brokenheart were on the Bill also. It was the Imperials 20th anniversary tour and our 10th year on the road. We toured for a little over 30 yrs and I had to retire due to injuries from an auto accident. We were Billed as Floyd and Boyd, The Amason Twins. Grady Nutt the Country Christian Comedian taged us as the Smothers Brothers of Christian Music. I will never forget how kind Jim, Dave , and Armond were to us. I hope you have a blessed week !! - FLOYD
Thanks for sharing that story Floyd. I was with dad on the road a LOT back then but I'm sorry I don't think I ever saw you guys. Sounds like the Lord blessed you with a good long career doing what you loved. Blessings!!
Your dad is one of my favorite voices of all time! I still have a cassette copy of the hymns album that he did. I had at one time the other solo album with "Christians Arise' on it. A great song by the way.
