Finally someone who says that usually emotional health declines with age. Whenever I hear that people are happier in their 80's than say their 60's, I've never seen that happen with anyone in my family, or with my friends.

i think its all connected, i.e. when your body is in decline or in pain, how easy it is to be emotionally at peace/happy. body/mind/emotions are all one holistic system. I think though, we are less anxious as we age. or we are more accepting of negative things, maybe that seems "happier".

It is almost always people with financial security and a deep well of supportive people immediately surrounding them. And THAT is only a small segment of the population.

Being in pain and losing mobility and independence have a direct and massive effect on emotional health. At any age. But at 40, there is often some hope for cure and you can have healthy people around you. You may still be able to work and get out there. At 80, peers are dying off, partners can also be declining, and so many organ systems are failing that it hard to be optimistic.

hello doctor, thanks for all the knowledge you share. Recently, I came across ReHIT (a more time & volume efficient way to train VO2 peak). Please talk about it & whether or not it's better than Tabata?
