My first time watching your opening videos. Simply the best opening video I've seen. A collectors dream come true. Not about the money, not about the value, hits value etc. Simply about the art and notes about TCG. Your approach is the only one I've seen to date and it's super exciting. Connecting the artists to their other work in Pokemon and beyond. Connecting the arts, etc. I love it. I love building my collection through the artist. I could watch you go through the art for an hour so I'm all in for more!

With Aipom being one of my favourite Pokémon, I have to say that its illustration is probably my favourite out of this set. Yeah it's a common card, but you cannot disregard the amount of effort that gets put into illustrating them sometimes.

Love this video format, also just started actually playing the game recently and it's crazy how much more value you actually get out of opening packs once you do. It's made ripping so much more fun and even makes watching these videos that much more enjoyable. Love that Tangela card can't wait to get my hands on it to add it to my Tangela collection 😃

Not sure if anyone else mentioned it, but the body being so much smaller than the mask on that Full Art is normal. In the game when you terastallize Ogerpon, the mask is what terastillizes, not so much the Pokémon’s body. When the mask terastillizes it gets insanely massive compared to Ogerpon’s body.

Great content J! I've been waiting for your commentary about Komiya's art and look forward to you sharing what you picked up while in Japan. I'm slowly collecting for an eventual ENG/JP master set of his art for a binder. I wonder if you were potentially doing the same? I've got some duplicates and maybe I could send you ones you're missing! Also collecting sowsow and Shinji Kando but the latter has a much shorter list.

Personally this is one of my fave English sets in the Scarlet & Violet line so far. I love the mask of change's overall festival theme, Crimson Haze has a Minaminami Take SAR and this year the art has been popping off! Twilight Masquerade having both sets combined is amazing.

I feel like this video encapsulates why new SV sets just don't hit in English. You can barely pull any artwork rares or SRs/SARs, and when you do there's so many in an English set that it's impossible to get the ones you even want. I am definitely just buying the AR set in japanese for cheap and moving on. First SV ETB I will be skipping.

The level of art in SV era is garbage. It all peaked in S/M era and it's continuing to drop since then.

I like the SM era artwork, but the art quality going down after that is not true at all. Remember some SM cards just had stock Ken Sugimori artwork on a simple background. Kinda lazy.
