Hey, I'm okJLUV. I'm collecting Pokemon cards and breaking down the latest news - from both Japan, and English territories. I stream weekly at Twitch and love to chat about Japanese Pokemon cards.
As someone who lives in Japan, i always go for the yellow sticker cards. they are always severely marked down with little to no scratches or bents. this is a collector's paradise! Also love the bulk pile of cards. It's like hunting for treasure sometimes.
A bit off-topic - But what is the situation regarding finding Magic the Gathering cards in such stores? I'm both in Pokémon and Magic but Magic a bit more and foil japanese cards can fetch a nice premium on the international market anyways.
That white outline is a form of rim lighting. Something used to make a figure pop in a dark setting with dramatic lighting. Also, I find the "This can't be a card" is weird to me because eif it's top 300, they are being considered to be a card... so like... that's not really an appropriate way to phrase it.
Some of the takes will age like milk. Shining Fates over Paldean Fates is CAP. I think Obsidian Flames will age better than F tier, due to nice hit rates.
Man, saying you don't have the funds for traditional retirement investments whilst spending money on shiny cardboard, but arguing on Pokémon investments seems very backwards to me
I think we’re also over estimating the people that are actually “investing” in Pokémon. The large majority of the US is in DEBT. They don’t have thousands of dollars to invest. We’re such a small subset of people putting our expendable income or business funds in shiny cardboard.
This is such a nice vod to destress with at the end of the week ❤. Thanks for showing love to the Bellossom card so love. One of my favourites cards and still have the one I pulled as a kid.
As with everything else that is imported. Except for special cases, domestic products will almost always be cheaper in the country they are produced. Likewise exported products will almost cost more as they are harder to obtain.
Great tier list & agree the shiny treasures on forward SR's are too much; Shiny treasures is what 18 SR's and 5 SARs? I completely agree on your revised Mask of Change SR, arguably could remove dragapult SR too since you kept Blissey, remove 90& of modern Japanese SR's. We need more SARs or better chances of SAR's
Also, remove those damned cursed pink ace specs from 2nd half of S/V so its rippable, introduction of them in Temporal Forces is so underwhelming we want artwork
that revised Wild Forces would bang, 5 SARs vs 2 SR's box k1llers, could arguably remove Explorer cause like Caretaker he;'s a random NPC? and agree we dont need 4 variants of a single card. get rid of these filler SR full arts, even regular ex's and focus on the SARs
I was in Japan a month ago and wish this video came out sooner! I was definitely overwhelmed card shopping and having all this information beforehand would have been super nice. Keep up the great content!
Also collecting Kusajima and I have to agree with his art changing and yet keeping the same trend overall. I absolutly love his aerial cards from BW and his very simple but banger Rayquaza with the blue planet in the background !
