The river was certainly flowing hard in you video. It is usually a lot more tranquil and crystal clear. How was your prop on the boat after going into the gorge? There are a lot of submerged rocks between the homestead and the gorge. Great video. 👍

Hi Darryl, Colorado handles it very easily! I have an exhaust, snorkle and Steinbauer chip which makes a good difference in power delivery. Just keep an eye on your weights.
Looks like you guys lucked out. Lilydale hit 6.5mtrs on 6th June and just under 3mtrs on 21st June. On both occasions the river would have been a swirling brown mess. We prefer to go when Lilydale is sitting around 1mtr with no chance of rain in sight. Having been 8 times to The Gorge we have only lucked out on one occasion when the Gorge turned to flood within 24hrs. It is fed by several different river systems from the North and South and can bare its teeth in no time. When Lilydale is around 1mtr the place is perfect with crystal clear water and amazing fishing & swimming. Best time to go is September/October for fishing and reliable weather. Great vid but you are one seriously dangerous chainsaw operator. No shoes, blunt chain and operating it one handed and no other safety equipment. It is only a matter of time before something goes wrong. Know of one guy, big and strong, who was using a saw one handed like that....now he is one handed. Chainsaw amputation. Please show people the smart way to do things in remote areas
