As hard as it is for you to take in so many seniors dogs, there should be immense pride knowing that in their final years and months, you gave them so much love and joy into their lives. You made sure that their remaining time on earth was the best they could have ever had and that’s an amazing gift.

We had a rescue that was returned to the shelter no less than 4 times in his life. He was such a sweet dog!! Our kids fostered him for almost a year. Finally, my husband said that if he was returned again, we would take him. And when it happened, we brought him into our pack! He lived with us for another 5 years. He, unfortunately, developed degenerative myelopathy and passed away last year. But I know that his final years were full of love! Thank you for all you are doing!

You somehow manage to be in the right spot when there is a doggie in need of you and your LOVE and a forever home. ❤I watch your videos over and over with tears of happiness. Thank God you got him he’s a young dog, but acts old, he’s been through so much. There’s nothing wrong with that dog he’s just as calm as a cucumber I’m glad there’s places such as Asher house to the rescue centers no kill shelters how can anybody give a face like that away. I have a rescue pitt boxer mix named Jack- looks a little like this guy. He's huge! 90lbs of love, charm and humor. He was four when we got him, and have been surrendered by his owners when one became ill and could no longer care for him:( It was obvious he had come from a home where he was loved, as he came well-mannered and affectionate. He was heartbroken for a month or two, but adjusted quickly. We shower him with love. Being empty-nesters he is never alone. We affectionally call him "Biggie Boy" or "Love Boy."

We had been petless for years having lost our beloved Beagle Buddy who was a stray and Gizmo, our Toy pom. We begged and pleaded my husband for years, then in Feb he said let's get a puppy and two! Whaat?We were shocked. Anyway, it's like having kids all over but the best! They 've eaten everything and all. We have a gate around our tree but so what! You seem like great folks. ❤

Jack’s story is very similar to one of my dogs. Through Lee’s loving care Jack will open up and be an amazing addition to the sanctuary. His very best life is ahead and I am looking forward to seeing more of him.💕

It's strange, but I feel Jacks emotional heaviness. Jack hit the Jackpot though and he knows it too. Thank you for sharing your love Lee. Your dogs have the same love now. At 4:24 one of your dogs is hugging Jack. That is so special how they all welcome him. 💕💕💕 I am glad that we humans greet each other in a different way though and not sniff each others private parts lol.

Yes, I am too so stoked how relaxed Lees pack accept new members. Its a mirror how loving and relaxed Lee is... I am so happy for Jack, I agrree, you can see how tired and sad he was. But... If there was a second I would be aware of, its the "hug". A dog putting his head or paw on the back of another dog isnt exactly friendly, its a gesture: I am above you! Kind of a dominant gesture. I think completely normal with a new dog in a established pack, and the other dog wasnt overdoing it, just a quick reminder, but Jack was kinda put in his place,. Dogs who arent so calm, well behaved and social like these two dogs... well... it can go wrong. Sorry, I really dont want to be a smart-ass, but i have seen some situations where dogs started fights after this display, so especially whith unknown dogs in a dog parkfor example.. just dont think of it as a friendly hug. I see myself out....

@@fjeldfross9327 You're absolutely right. And I also think it's amazing that there are no fights when a new pack member is introduced. I am always a bit on edge when I see the newbie surrounded by 5-10 dogs sniffing him/ her at the same time! But it seems to work.

Those rescuers are angels :) Why get rid of an older dog when you get a puppy? They're ideal for helping train the little ones. I'd like the relevant authorities to remove any and all animals (and possibly children) from a household where they treat a loving family member like trash. Thank you, yet again, for taking him in. He's going to love it!

Re-watching older videos. Adopting a dog that has been shuffled around/returned can be the best dog you ever have! It may take awhile for them to believe they are finally HOME, but it's worth the wait and the time! There will come a day when they show you that they finally believe they are yours forever!
