This is a pretty easy fix up tho since it's just addin theming to a coaster which doesn't really have any apart from the name and the music otherwise looking pretty dingy so it seems a good candidate. It will coincide with incredibles 2 launch. The track is staying as is.

they should have rethemed this to a Monsters Inc ride. the ride was called Screaming California, they could have said the Monsters built the ride to collect screams from humans to power their city. would have worked perfect.

IHazProxy it was extremely redundant to have a California themed park in California to begin with, and while I LOVE the 1920s California feel at Buena Vista Street I'm glad that the park is evolving into something different and less redundant.

The difference is when you go to Colonial Williamsburg its to get the colonial experience, see not redundant. When you go to California Adventure you don't go to get the California experience you go to get the Disney experience, you see how it is redundant?

Although California Screamin is a classic and I have adored it, I can see why they're changing it. First of all I've always wanted an Incredibles themed ride. Second of all, CA Screamin would always have like a 30 min wait or less.

Michael Lee In my opinion, it looks amazing! And when marvel land is finished, it will look so much in place than what it is now. As well I am exited for Pixar pier. You can't live in the past, always look towards the future. If Disney didn't change anything, then Disney wouldn't be as advanced as it is today.

Michael Lee yeah, as much as I love Mission Breakout as a ride itself, the exterior of the building has become quite an eyesore on the rest of the park. Hopefully it'll blend in better when they eventually add more of Marvel Land to California Adventure.

Miles Bockelman Well, if you want to talk about eyesore, back before when tower of terror was a thing, you could see the ride all the way across the park. (Same with guardians) as the park will grow, like I said in my last comment, guardians will look more in place than what it looks now.

At least with tower of terror there was something to miss as it was completely rethemed with new drop patterns. This ride is literally just a plain rollercoaster that is having theming added. The only thing to miss here is the californi screamin music at best.

So does this mean we won't be waking around in Paradise anymore?? We will be just walking around in Pixar?? I honestly just hope that they do NOT change anything else. How on earth is it called California Adventure if they already changed something that is named after California??? Well here's a tiny life hack for those who are reading this. When you exit the park, you can collect the maps so that way for the next generation, you could show your future children what California Adventure was actually like. I'm just saying.

When California Adventure first opened it was panned by critics and guests alike because having a California themed park in California is a generally boring concept. Why go to the theme park when all the famous sites of California are just a short drive away from the park. As DCA got older it started evolving from a boring generic park into a Disney park. Sure it’s sad to see attractions like Tower of Terror and Paradise Pier, but they’re making way for a better guest experience and new magical Disney memories

Spencer Fleming I think it’s too much. Too many of the newer films are represented in it while there aren’t a lot of the classics that made Disney what it is today. MSEP represented them proudly. And on side note, the music for PTN isn’t my favorite either. Wreck-It-Ralph isn’t even in it yet the movie’s “theme song” plays for the parade.

I was all for Guardians, but not so much the Incredicoaster, mostly because Paradise Pier has always been my favourite area in DCA and the music on Screamin' was fantastic. I was especially upset when the Mickey loop was removed. That isn't to say the Incredibles makeover will be awful, I just much preferred Paradise Pier as it was. Not too worried about Tower of Terror because it felt extremely repetitive unlike the DHS counterpart.

Just like everyone else I'm a bit skeptical about this entire operation since Paradise pier and California Screamin' was such an iconic landmark of LA but I have faith that you guys can pull it off. The thing that I by far is the most skeptical about at the moment is the fact that you can't see how high up you are but again I have faith in you guys pulling this off.

While i don't mind an incredibles ride, which would be AWESOME, I'm a little conflicted about this. the California screamin coaster still exists techinally, but it's being rethemed, and the music of that old ride was lite. So replacing it kinda throws the old appeal out the window, it feels like replacing your fav. style of mustard on your hot dog with a new style that isn't as appealing or grand tasting. I feel like, much like the ToT and guardians of the galaxy rides, they should made incredibles and California screamin their own seperate rides, rathering than retheming it, But that's my opinion.

Based on the comments I'm in the minority here, but I'm optimistic for this. Normally i don't like ride changes and overlays that are just forcing a new license to be themed over an existing ride, but I hated California Screaming. It was "just another beach coaster" to me. I come to Disney to see a THEME in things. Save the big, exposed steel and wooden structures for Six Flags or Knotts. At Disney there needs to be a theme or I'm out. Looking at this, it finally has a theme! I love the start of the ride with Edna Mode and can see how she'll probably narrate something then Dash ( and you ) will shoot out of the start and chase down whatever the issue is. The Elastagirl and Jak-Jak in the tunnel makes sense and hopefully the rest of it does too. If they make this change then yeah, I'll finally ride it more than the twice I've ever been on it. Currently = snoozefest.

Michael Lee well, sort of, I still like tower of terror better. In my opinion, I don't mind mission breakout, BUT many people think mission breakout is better. My siblings think it's better too.

Christian Salgado thank you for sharing your opinion! I love that you love the ride, it's just my personal opinion (while not the popular one) that o like Tower of Terror better, but believe me, after I went on it, I had to think about my opinion! So yes, Mission Breakout is an amazing ride!

Ha look at that tower of terror and California screamin are getting closed on the same day and there for a sequel that comes out in a summer period with the ride opening after that with people yelling that the ride is going to be garbage even though the ride is awesome and way better and the better version is in Hollywood studios so the ride will be called better than the one it replaced but not as good as Florida

New restraints would also be nice. I get the idea of using over the shoulder restraints to calm down the guests about the inversions, but it would make that loop feel way better. Or maybe use intamin's vest restraints like the one on green lantern at six flags magic mountain and the maverick at cedar point. Still leaves a lot of room for good forces
