India and China claim vast swathes of each other's territory along their Himalayan border. It erupted in a deadly war in 1962. And although a truce is in place with a “Line of Actual Control,” the border remains disputed.
On June 15th, tensions along the border turned violent for the first time in over half a century.
India says at least 20 of its soldiers were killed after hand-to-hand fighting with Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley. China has not released any information on casualties.
India and China traded accusations that the other had violated their shared de facto border. But analysts say the violence speaks to a bigger geopolitical issue. Emanuela Campanella explains.

With that thought and attitude, China can also aid Pakistan and help people in India who want to seek independence. You can always find some people to seek independence with money and weapons. That's the "going to war" tension. As far as I know, China has never aid or even established contact with extremists in India. Because China has never taken India seriously as a military or economical threat.

No one in China wants war. Everything is back to normal. Who wants to spend money on military? Better spend those on education/medical care system /infrastructure/marginalized society minorities etc. but this doesn’t mean other countries like India can invade China. Since 2020 there have been 21 diplomatic dialogues between India and China and while this was going on China attacked on one of the border in 2022 and was pushed back by Indian Soldiers, each single talk has failed and China is a snake that cannot be trusted for its words as it never matches their actions.

In my opinion they’ll forever fight an escalating battle over the border. You’ll never have a perfect, respected ‘line’ in the ground. what the Indians and Chinese will have to do is create a combined camp right there on the border, where the Chinese and Indians soldiers train and live amongst each other, as comrades. Therefore the border is mutually shared, understood and healthily maintained with good relations between the countries.

A major conflict @ the very least is and will be obtainable if this becomes chronic and problematic. I personally feel, being an eight year U.S.Armed Forces Veteran that a War is and will materialize and it shall occur expeditiously without any form of negotiations. These two Super powers will lose patience and the conflict should occur within 15 months according to my viable military sources. Hopefully, there will NOT be limited Nuclear Missiles launched on either side of the opposing borders.
