I would definitely suggest you 'Pranchiyettan and the saint', and 'Kazhcha' . The basic difference between Mammootty and Mohanlal is that Mammootty always experiment with different styles of characters, Mohanlal on the other hand is somewhat trapped among his friend circle, forced to do type roles. Mammootty had done several roles in negative shades (vidheyan, Palerimanikyam) even in 90s which shows his courage.

Yaathra, Thaniyaavarthanam, MRUGAYA, Mathilukal, Vidheyan, Pondan Mada, Oru Vadakkan Veeragadha, Amaram, BHOOTHA KANNAADY, Ambedkar, Kaazhcha, Karutha Pakshikal, Pranchiyettan & the Saint, Paalerimanikyam oru Paathira kolapaathakathinte kadha, Munnariyippu, Peranpu ...These movies alone will prove his versatality and 101% transformation into the character. There are also some like Udyanapaalakan, Kaiyyoppu and Loudspeaker which could be mentioned here, but are more light hearted ones And this is the big difference between Mohanlal and Mammootty. Former is a full on entertainer with a natural talent, but in each and every movie of Lalettan, may be except in Iruvar, we can still pick our favourite Lal mannerisms easily. Lalettan gives his own mannerisms for the character mostly in a positive way. Mammookka transforms into the character as the director envisage the role. He is the real maestro actor.
