This really about to fire 🔥🔥 I made a comment on episode 7 explaining the rest of the story and format for the remaining content. It contains spoilers for everything, and I've edited it now that we know we're having 3 movies. I originally said that the movies would be too short to make everything work, but I've adjusted for that. Spoilers below read at your risk 🫡⚠️⚠️⚠️ We don't know how long each movie will be. It doesn't seem likely that everything will fit into the runtime. Since anime movies are usually 1 hr & 30 mins. I'm thinking though, the 3 movies will be more on the higher side like 10 hrs. Each movie being 2 hr & 30 mins to 3+ hrs. SPOILERS BELOW ABOUT THE REST OF THE ENTIRE STORY and a lot of reading 💀💀 1. realistically Kaigaku's aka new UM 6 (Also the guy who let the demon into the house this ep) fight with our thunder boi would be 2-3 episode (about 45 mins to an hour). 2. Prior to that fight was UM 2 vs Shinobu. That fight would also be 2- 3 episode. They're both really short but I think the anime will expand on them. EDIT: Fights #1 and #2 are reallly short. More like one episode each but knowing Ufotable, they can expand it to 2-3 episodes of content. 3. Then there's Akaza fight with Tanjiro and Giyu, which will be 5 or 6 ep (about 2 hrs). 4. Next is the full fight with UM 2 vs Inosuke and Kanao which will be about 4-5 ep (roughly an hour and 45 mins). Then there's the scuffle with Kanroji and Obanai vs new UM 4. At best that fight is 1 ep if not a little more past that before Yushiro takes over UM 4's mind. 5. Lastly UM 1 vs stone, wind, mist Hashira and Genya. That fight is the longest being 8 episodes worth of content (2 hr & 40 mins to 3 hrs). Then the continued scuffle with new UM 4 and everyone coming to the surface (about 50 mins). With that done that's the entire infinity castle arc. So, with all that info fight #1, #2 and half of #3 will be adapted to the first movie. The second movie will finish fight #3 and fight #4. The 3rd movie will be fight #5. The final battle with Muzan is even longer than the UM 1 fight, which is about 10 or 11 episodes. That has to be 3 - 4 hrs to finish up everything and there are only 3 movies. So with that the sunrise countdown arc will be it's own movie or another season 🔥 EDIT: With the muzan fight, a large part of it is backstories for the remaining Hashira or expansion of other backstories. However, with the fighting part of the last arc, they could shorten it down a bit and allude to the fact everyone was fighting for the past hour. So the muzan fight aka sunrise countdown arc & conclusion arc, would more likely be 2-3 hrs. Considering that we have 3 movies to work with, things are going to be dramatic and quick or drawn out a bit more, making each movie 3+ hrs like i said before. Also, since we were getting movies, i deleted a whole paragraph about the remaining content just being seasons. If you're wondering how I came to this conclusion and estimate of all the episodes, I just read the manga and scaled it to how much time each episode is. About 2 chapters = 1 episode. So, for example, fight #1 with Kaigaku vs Zenitsu is 3 chapters which are a small part of 143, 144, and half of 145. Technically it should be one episode but I feel like they can add enough scenes to it to be 2-3 episodes.
For sure, this is the best arc(in terms of the fight) and our beloved UFOTABLE as one of the best studio making this arc with their talents is just a 'no doubt'. They always deliver us good quality adaptation from s1-s4(ehm s3 ;) ).
Even S3 had best animation. The upper moon meeting all the way from akaza entrance was so cool. The tanjiro yoriichi parallel scene where he uses halo dragon head dance is amazing. Zohakuten wooden dragons 🐲 Muichiro fifth form of mist breathing Mitsuri fifth form of love breathing. And the finale episode was also magnificent . Only disappointed for few of them is that they could utilize the cgi in making those fishes
Demon slayer is my favourite anime and I'm waiting for all movies. It would be better if they did a global release instead of different release dates for different countries. What'd you think??
I believe since crunchy roll & sony have their hands on the trilogy to my knowledge it’s going to be a global release, but that might need to be fact checked. Since i’m in the west, i’m a bit biased for it to be a global release as well😂
