I test rode a Tiger 1200 GT Explorer yesterday that has a similar system. Whilst no substitute for a lifesaver anything that gives you just a bit more info on what’s around you can’t be a bad thing.

@thelikeablerider8800 9 месяцев назад
I see it the same way! Some seem to think that it's a substitute for the shoulder check, or just another display you have to constantly look at, which is not the case in either aspect.
@JimGDMAC

Anything mounted that low down means that you must take your eyes from the road to see it. A good set of rear view mirrors regularly checked plus a lifesaver before manouvering is much safer. I always mount a Sat Nav as high as possible so that I don't have to look down to see it's screen if needed. This sort of system could lead to a rider becoming lazy and not bothering to look around. With a pair of good mirrors I don't have a blind spot behind me, only a pedestrian right behind my top box is not visible, the only blind spot is directly to the right or left of me and a simple look before manouver is all that is needed.

I have INNOVV cameras on one motorcycle, which have worked perfectly for 5 years. I am considering the ThirdEye for my Triumph Bobber.

I absolutely love mine since July this year and would have returned it if not. You will probably get people saying beeps will be annoying, what do you mean “blind spot” or it’s distracting but until they try, they will never know how useful this is and all bikes will eventually get them. The clue is in the marketing “Third Eye” not first or your other one, third eye as an added aid in the event of some arse doing something so fast from behind or side we could miss it when concentrating on other idiots. Hope you get on with it!
@thelikeablerider8800
@thelikeablerider8800 9 месяцев назад
I find it very useful! Like I said in the video, I would turn off the beeps when in town, and it's great that INNOVV gave us that function. It'll never replace the shoulder check, that's branded into us from the start, but it's great to have a visual warning.

Think that’s a great system. Safety wise I think that’s a great bit of kit. Might be slightly distracting but that’s the whole point ain’t it? If it shows you someone behind or to your side that’s a good thing. Great gizmo and great video! 👍
@thelikeablerider8800
@thelikeablerider8800 9 месяцев назад
It's not distracting at all! You don't physically have to look at the screen (if you position it correctly) you ride as normal and you just see it in your peripheral vision. Some seem to think "its just another display you have to look at" and by no means is it designed to replace the shoulder check. It's just a aid designed to keep us safer on the road.

Hi mate great video I have the INNOVV K5 on my Can Am F3 Spyder which has worked very nicely, the INNOVV Third Eye will be the next addition the only problem I have with it is weather the button
@thelikeablerider8800
@thelikeablerider8800 7 месяцев назад
Yes if you don't have the real estate to mount the button, then the mirror version is the way to go👍

Sorry did not finish my sentence the mirrors on the F3S are to far forward witch makes the mirror mount not desirable, thank you for the feedback.

for me personally I really do not like addons that get screwed to the bike, I personally would have bought the 1300GS and got this built in by the manufacturer :)
@thelikeablerider8800
@thelikeablerider8800 9 месяцев назад
Nothing from this system is screwed into the bike, all stuck on with 3m sticky mounts. Yes some bikes have this system as an optional extra and fitted at the factory, but this is available for riders that don't have that option from the manufacturer.

Useless is just another thing to look at added to the 100' of things to look for in the road.. i rather shoulder check of you go thank you very much easy as pie and it's free
@thelikeablerider8800
@thelikeablerider8800 9 месяцев назад
I'm sure you'd change your mind if you'd try one, you don't have to look at it, you see it in your peripheral vision. It most certainly is not there to replace the shoulder check, that was burnt into our brains when learning to ride👍😜

There is a sat nav mount for the 1200 tiger from evotech which fits to the screen, and raises the nav quite high towards the rider, personally I’m not too keen on the nav position with it, but I think it would suit this Little’s gadget as it would put it right in your line of sight, mines is the explorer with the built in blind spot mirrors, I think it would fit in conjunction with your garmin it would sit just above it
@thelikeablerider8800
@thelikeablerider8800 9 месяцев назад
I saw the Evotech mount before going another direction. It looks way too high for me, and my Sat Nav would most definitely stick out over my short screen.

Great video if I needed to get on I think I’d go for the rod type as I have the Explorer I don’t need it I know you did a Cardo connection to all devices but are you doing a Cardo connection to Triumph connectivity GPS and to other riders Bluetooth and mesh and everything can be heard through my Cardo Black. I don’t know about you but I like Triumph’s Navigation dashboard layout if it was a map laying personal think that’s where they messed up but I also found if I use my own navigation TomTom and Triumph’s navigation I seem to lose the Bluetooth connection and if I lose phone signal looking forward to all your Tiger travels
@thelikeablerider8800
@thelikeablerider8800 9 месяцев назад
Yes I've connected my phone and Cardo to the bike, but won't use the Triumph navigation, as I'll continue to use my Garmin. I've had to turn off some media functions from the Sat Nav, so I can control everything from just the bike. If you connected every to the bike and Sat Nav, it will conflict and you'll get connectivity issues.

Is there a reason you didn’t go for the other option where the LEDs are mounted on the mirrors? To me it seems like a more natural way to get the dead angle warning while checking the mirrors, like the way it’s built in into cars. Anyway, I’m considering getting it for my Tiger 900 GT pro.
@thelikeablerider8800
@thelikeablerider8800 9 месяцев назад
@lukasg.1178 That's just purely the version that INNOVV wanted me to show case, would be up to every individual to decide what's best for them personally👍😜

Hey LR, not sure about this one. Although it’s probably worthwhile if, like me, you like a bit of gadgetry. I guess its good to have as secondary to the shoulder check! We’ve all had those surprise, blind spot moments. Bike looks great, how are you finding the 21” wheel?

@@thelikeablerider8800 So being distracted by a blue light flashing down by the yokes is somehow an aid. If your checking mirrors regularly you should know who's around you, survived 15 years dispatch riding in London in the 80's and 90's without stuff like this.
@thelikeablerider8800

Any different to a flashing indicator on the dash? I don't stare at that either 🤷‍♂️
