I started taking this over the summer and I can’t believe all the benefits I have experienced in taking this… I told my doctor about it and told her I don’t know if this is a coincidence or not but I have noticed that my hot flashes have gone away since 2 weeks after taken this Organic Herbal Supplement, very impressed with how it has helped with my anxiety as well

Just a fantastic remedy! Take it every day for over a year now. Some days 1-2 grams other days 500 mg, it all depends on how I feel. The weird thing about ash is you can take it at night and it helps you sleep, and if you take it early on the day, it improves your energy, weird ye?

I took one 500 mg for the first time this week. I was stuck in a negative rumination after hearing a comment at a BQ and was having trouble shaking it off. Within 15 minutes of taking it, that recycled negative thought went away. Very impressed.
@whyfor
@whyfor 10 месяцев назад
I'm glad to hear you were able to 'shake it', but it wasn't the Ashwaganda that did it. It was a placebo effect and it did you well. After 15 minutes, the compound would have just started to be digested and and absorbed by the intestinal tract, it then has to pass through the liver where it undergoes further breakdown and seperation of the various nutrients before being released into the blood system. A single 500mg pill, simply cannot and does not yield the results you speak of.

I agree with you, after a cancer scare I decided to life life as though I had cancer so I gave up Sugar, dairy, ALL grains, ALL seed oils and lost 82 lbs. I suffered from hypertension for over 15 years taking Lisinopril and Bystolic for years. When I went from 230 lbs to 147 lbs, my blood pressure problem went away. Now my resting blood pressure is 115/68 and after jogging a 1/4 mile my BP is 137/76. It's changed my life and I'm 71 years old. I love Dr. Gundry's podcasts and have almost watched them all. @@lusaneedwards7224 Most of the many supplements I take are usually from Amazon. I pick my supplements based of those that have the most sales as well as having the highest percentage of happy customers. The dosage of Ashwagandha that I take is 1380mg's daily, but I also believe that taking Magnesium and Zinc helps as you need to make sure you aren't deficient in the minerals the body needs. There are many different forms of Magnesium, I prefer the one that crosses the blood brain barrier. Make sure your room is dark, and cool. No food snacks and liquids after 6:00 pm. Quiet also helps. Look up what percentage of people are Potassium deficient. How do you get 4700 mgs of it a day ? I drink organic Coconut water, no sugar added. My Coconut water comes in 33.8 oz bottles. With 530mgs per 8 fl oz, so my 1 bottle gives me 2100 mgs of potassium. Be careful people with kidney or bladder problems should be very careful with potassium, Start with low doses and work up very slowly. Too much potassium can be fatal. Sorry for the long post, there are enough RU-vid videos to help but only take the advice from doctors, I trust Functional medicine doctors. I believe the oldest medicine is the best so I follow the oldest Asian medicinal theories.

It may be described as an aphrodisiac but like most things of this nature, you do have to think about sex or foreplay for it to actually work. I'm taking 3000 mgs daily and as long as I don't think about sex, there are no problems at all. I think kind of like one of my childhood buddies, he said it's just way too much work for 5 to 10 seconds of ecstasy. I take it for better sleep and it helps me relax more than ever, kind of like the character David Carradine played in Kung Fu.

The sacred ayurvedic texts: the Charaka and the Sushruta Sambita document the use of “Ashwagandha” as one of the most potent adaptogen and anti-stress herb. The Sanskrit name “Ashwagandha” translates to mean “the smell of a horse” and is recognized as one of the most powerful herbs for its restorative benefits and for providing “the virility and strength of a stallion.” The use of Ashwagandha as medicine to revitalize the body dates back to the teachings of the highly revered sage, Atreya Punarvasu, a royal physician. This strength builder herb has the lion’s share in the many ayurvedic formulation, including Ashwagandha Di Ich yam , and is also referred to as a “royal herb” widely prescribed for its potent stress-relieving aphrodisiac, and immuno-modulatory activities’

I think it’s important to speak to potential negative side effects and sensitivities in some people when triggering the immune system. For instance, in people with autoimmune diseases such as MS. After starting ashwaganda, within few days I became dizzy upon rising in the morning and felt awful. In my reading, I also learned that it’s important not to take this immune boosting supplement if you are on a drug protocol that is an immunosuppressant. I am not a doctor, but if you have an autoimmune disease, consult with your physician and be on the lookout for unwanted side effects.

Luckily I hadn't thrown it away, so I'll just put it back on the menu. I'm genuinely surprised it's actually that beneficial. The supplement I got is a combination of 300mg Ashwagandha and 300mg Rhodiola, by the way. So now I'm a bit curious if the Rhodiola is as good too.

Ignoring a majority of the side effects is strange in this video. I noticed a more depressed mood and a lowered will or care for things I usually enjoy. I also felt more irritable.

What is the safe, yet effective dosage? I understand too much causes liver damage, but not enough has no effect. What’s the sweet spot?

This is an example of what makes the internet a crappy place to get answers. You have a doctor that know own has ever heard of, generally speaking, giving his advice, thoughts and recommendations. Then you have over 100 comments from people that none of us know with no given expertise or qualifications in the matter that would permit them to even think for a second, they should be allowed to talk, giving their thoughts and testimonials. Some of these testimonials are good and others are not so good. After, watching the video and reading the comments you are left with the same confusion that you started with and brought you here in the first place.

It's a natural product so it's not 'meant' for anything, it just has certain properties.

I need to tell people about my experience with ashwagandha. It's not a miracle herb for everyone. In fact, it can be the opposite. As soon as I began taking ashwagandha (at half the recommended dose), I developed severe insomnia, sleeping between zero and three hours a night for two weeks. Before that, my sleep was fine. I also felt depressed, manic and thought I was going crazy. My anxiety went through the roof. Within one day of stopping the ashwagandha, I started to feel normal again and my sleep improved. Several months later, I tried the ashwagandha again, and the exact same thing happened. This herb is clearly toxic for me and has the exact opposite of the desired effect. Please be aware.
