@@heathensein6582 I've owned and loved all the 'Age Of' games with Mythology being my favourite, with AOE2 coming a very close second. I haven't played this one yet, or indeed any on an Xbox which I just bought. My PC is not at all for gaming and can't run this. Which is better AOE2 or AOE4? Wondering which to get, maybe the latest one. I haven't played AOW2 for so many years though. Have you played them on a console, and if so, any good? Thanks brother

@@Meloncholymadness really depends on what style of game you like better. But on the hardware side of things aoe4 I’d say is definitely harder to run than age 2. Age 2 is just as good as it was back in the day and I assumed you played it but either way I’ll describe it, if you enjoy a game where the civs are more similar to each other with a lot of flexibility on the way you can play then age 2 is great. The balance is as long very good on age 2 there’s been consistent updates to campaign, bugs, balance, and so much more for age 2 so it is in a very good state rn. Age 4 is more like Starcraft where the civs are more different from each other, this isn’t bad but it is really based on preference which style of game you prefer. age 4 rn is in a good state but there are still issues but compared to launch it is doing muuuuch better. Based of which to get it is rlly preference personally I’d get age 2 but if you want to try someone new age 4 is an excellent choice. Age 2 is also a lot cheaper if you get it during Christmas it’s usually about 10 bucks and the dlcs are’s usually half of. I’d personally not play on console but that’s just my preference, so far console release for both games has not been bad but is defo worse than pc

Cheers, that helps. I'll try AOE 4 then as it's new for me, I know PC is better but I don't have that option, I'll try it on the XBox anyway. I think there's a way to still use mouse and keyboard on the XBox but I'm not sure how. I only just received the XBox so haven't even set it up yet. @@Darkcamera45

I on the other hand would be happy if Ayyubids got deleted, everything they do is over tuned and OP and requires less IQ to use.

no idea lol... thinking mayyyybe either rush horses and try to snipe JD on boars/wolves (sipahi with their extra range maybe?) and spears to defend knights, and dodge the aoe spell... but tbh any strat that involves fighting knights in feudal seems tough, and extended feudal vs JD is death. So alternately maybe get a couple towers on gold and wood with defensive spears and just rush fast castle then pump out crossbow/horse/spear?

@emissarygw2264 yeah my main is China, so I been using zhuxi quite a bit. I found mostly of my games I lost is to her. Even with tower it is really hard to turtle with it if they really trying to rush me, and if she caught my spear off position, it's just instant free xp for her. Early palacr guard wont be much helpful as well. And tbh it feels like a worse French at the beginning of the aoe4. I felt she needs a re-done to balance out a bit.

Wall early. Rush to castle, then crossbow spear combo.

@@xutiancao8028 yeah i've started playing JD a bit lately and though I haven't played a lot of games yet it just feels nice and straightforward... feudal knights are hard to deal with already, and Joan kills spears pretty well so kind of seems like the main options are to either play another knight civ or else go really fast castle. Or maybe tower rush the gold?
