💯 true. Max was always going to win the Championship this year - based on his overall performance. But for some reason the FIA and their bizarre decisions are making it easy for some fans to say Max wins his Championships in nefarious and/or illegitimate ways. IMO two things can be right at the same time. 1. Max is a great talent, deserves this Championship and 2. The FIA are doing a poor job applying the rules in the manner we’ve all interpreted and come to expect. You know its bad when Redbull and other teams (people who’ve done this for a living for decades) come out and say they didn’t know Max had won the Championship (even when taking into account the 5 second time penalty for Leclerc). Brazilian reporter on suzuka interviewed Mario Isola about the usability of the wets, and his response is worth spreading; He basically said that teams were all in on developing the slick tires, but when pirelli was asking them to test and develop the inters and wets, no one was interested. Not just the Sky folks... i was watching the race with DAZN España commentary, who has, among others, former F1 driver Pedro de la Rosa, and Antonio Lobato, considered in Spain the definitive F1 expert (for me, just an extremely biased Spanish version of Croft). They were saying all the time that the graphics were wrong, that Max wasn't yet World Champions, that this was a half-points situation... until someone actually checked the rules and told them the "if suspended" clause... they shared that with thie audience after Button's interview in the podium. There are high chances that half their audience had already turned off the broadcast by then.

6:55 I slightly disagree. Sure the tractor should not have been there, however at the point Gasly was coming by the race was already under safety car condition. There was absolutely no reason at all for Gasly to be driving this fast. If the track is under safety car condition and especially shortly after a crash there could always be marshals on the track trying to aid a driver in need of help. So Gasly had no business whatsoever to go this fast and was rightfully penalised. And had he been going at the speed he was supposed to be going that whole tractor on the track thing would not have nearly as dangerous as it was.
