what a thrilling life it was. the underwater world is very nice and we can even see down there at night now. even tho, the sight seems to get worse as bigger we get. what I didn't like tho, we were kind of trapped at one side of the map :/

I was beneath the tree and my cam was just going 360 all the time I also didn't think I will make it to that lake. specially the last two minutes (after I saw I am deeply red on health) I was like, don't die, don't die, don't die, pls, don't, just don't

the isle feels so much different now with the new map, it just feels so real, the devs have done amazing work. (also when the new dinos come out what will you first choose? my fav is def herrera because its so cute lol

yeah, I love the new map, too. it has no many nice biomes and yet they all look so realistic. I also love the human structures like the bridges and their camps. will be interesting for chases and fights herrera will be amazing 'cause of the trees. but, I also loved dibble and dilo in legacy, so, can't say. can't wait for all of them

The fact that you were attacked by a cannibalistic Deinosuchus at the beginning is because in real life crocodiles are cannibals, as well as having Deinosuchus in the Deinosuchus' diet, lol

it was not completely true yes like all crocodilians they were cannibalistic but only in the sense that an adult found a juvenile at no time do we have fossil proof and observations of modern crocodiles attacking a crocodile of similar sizes for the eat

@@reddlizzard3578we have modern representation, and i havent researched it, but im pretty sure fossil. Even if we didnt, it wouldnt be outlandish to assume that the giant croccodile had cannibalistic qualities. Croccodile havent changed much from and evolutionary standpoint. Also, read the first comment: "in real life crocodiles are cannibals" and as you said, in the sense of a adult finding a juvenile. You're contradicting what you just said, really.

it's a game. played by people. if you want to go hardcore realism, then nobody would attack without being hungry, nobody would attack anything of similar size or bigger (beside already starving), everybody would rest about half of the day, no adult deino would group with another deino beside to pair and so on. real life isn't that funny. that's why we play games

@@kaninus5531 I think the reason is more simple. deino has no enemy in the game. as long as it stays in the water, it has no threat at all. that's why I like cannis. I wouldn't be one myself, but, deino life would be boring without them.

Oh man, I did NOT think you were going to make it to highland lake! I'm all for deino being harder to grow, but I think its much to difficult to get between water sources right now. I'm hoping that if flooding becomes a thing, that will allow deinos to travel between water sources. Even if that means they get stuck there outside "flood season". There's also a lot of safe drinking spot :/ With how much water is around and how much area deino's have to patrol to make a catch, safe drinking spots should be very rare in my opinion. Swamp is also very disappointing .... its beautiful! But I rarely see dinos there and its really hard to see in the swamp water as deino, so catching fish is near impossible so its not a very viable place for them. I hope this changes in the future. I played Deino for 2 hours the other day and only saw 1 dryo :'( Logged out starving.

yeah, I see tough times for deino, too. I don't know the map by now and there might be sneaky ways between the waters, but, by now it looks very difficult to migrate :/ even more tho, like you mentioned, there are way too many safe drink spots. right now we can ambush, 'cause people don't know the map and drink wherever they find water, but, on the long run I'm afraid that ambushing will be very rare and very much up to luck ^^

This map is so strange when it comes to deinos. The water down the waterfall in Northeast Plains is safe to drink cause all deinos that go there perish to fall damage. However the water in the highlands is not safe to drink since somehow there is always at least 3 deinos there.

as much as I like gateway so far, but, there are way too many safe spots to drink. in the highlands you can go to the little river at the building. that one with the bridge (from my galli video). so, you don't even have to drink at this lake if you are in the highlands. all over the map I found safe or at least quite safe spots to drink. even that lake has a quite safe spot to drink. right now it doesn't matter, 'cause everyone is new to the map and drinks at any place. but, on the long run people will know the map and deinos will have a very rough time to find prey to ambush :/

in my opinion it doesn't make sense to hunt beipis as deino. well, as very small deino, ok. but, even a juvie deino is already too big to get use of a beipi. the nutrients you get are gone within 3 minutes of gameplay, because beipi weighs too less to give proper food or nutrients anyway

Mombie, remember on Gateway walking is better than trotting because you actually regenerate stamina while walking. As deino, the difference between trotting and walking speed is marginal as well.

my first experiences were nice with less cannibals. but, as more familiar the people get with the map as more tough it will get to ambush as more cannibals we will have. probably already, I didn't play deino recently :/ I had a feeling it will get tough for deino from start on tho. way too many safe spots to drink ^^

thx mate ♥ in case you don't know, you can already play on gateway, too. the test is public meanwhile. if you want to, here is how go to their discord channel. in their announcement area is the password you need. I don't know if I am allowed to share it, so, pls, check it there. then you right click on the isle in steam. click on properties, betas and enter the password beneath private betas. then it will download and install the test version of the game.

thx ♥ yeah, was a good day yesterday. just enjoyed star citizen. no editing, just playing. today I edited just a few hours and played the isle. tomorrow I will start to edit again, to be ready for the weekend vids if you want to play the stress test, then do like follow go to their discord channel. in their announcement area is the password you need. @@dinkelkong5043 I don't think this will stop mixpacking. there might be less mixed herb herds, but, carni mixpacker won't be influenced by the migration zone at all. even herbs can walk together to the different zones, I guess. specially those on comms.

@@da.mombie there will be no such things as ending a problem integrated by players but it will nerf it a bit at least, by splitting particular herbs found on particular carnis diets. It is stupid to walk into a migration zone where u wont find any herbs on ur diet.

@@dinkelkong5043 you are right, there is barely anything they can do about players doing there own thing. don't get me wrong, I like the idea behind, but, I just don't think migration will have a big impact on mixpacking. those who like to mixpack, specially friends on comms, won't be effected much. carnis can eat organs, so, they can eat every herb and get diet. herbs on comms will migrate together to the different zones.

Hello, Mombie. Do you have weird significant frame drops at sunsets and sunrises? Mine fps goes down to 30-40 from 60 at 5-6 am and 7 pm almost every time… I’ve been told that this is due to new illumination shaders, but I wonder how many people get so bad framerates

honestly, I don't know. I noticed that I have frame drops every now and then as well. can't say if it was in certain areas or at certain times tho. I will keep an eye on it at the next sunrise

The message of your fellow deino is another bad thing always happening in the gateway… BORING, so huge for just 100 players. Too hard to find food, so hard to find nutrients, not mentioning stamina drain and regen. I want to cry 😅

well, I met bored deino players on spiro, too. even many of them. but, I also think gateway will be a tough map for deino to ambush. can't say for sure tho, as I didn't play enough deino and we have to see how people will cross the map on the long run first. right now most people are in explorer mode, so, it's impossibel to say how the ways of the different dinos and therefore ambush chances will look like :/

The map in my opinion is real garbage… Maybe I’m the only one thinking that but more I play in the stress test servers more I hate to play the game. I will quit if they dont change a lot of stuff. And terrain is one of them

I like the map so far. as more as I play as smaller it feels. even tho, I played way too less to have a final opinion. what I don't like are the many safe drink spots I already found. well, one of them isn't even safe as I figured out with stego yesterday so also there, we'll have to see. what do you not like on gateway?
