Retired driver after 45 years refer, tanker and flatbed. You have shown me a side of trucking I knew nothing about. Keep up the great videos . That is a Beautiful rig you have.
Awesome video!!! It’s really cool seeing the different rigging and heavy lifts. I started heavy haul with a 55T Load King RGN. Now a millwright for a paper mill in Minnesota. Again beautiful combo you have and keep up the awesome videos! 👍
Hitting the like button before watching the video.. you know it's going to be a good one. Nicely done....Safety first ALWAYS.... you don't wanna "Shake hands with Danger" 😆
Why? He is getting paid very well to stand there and watch the show! There is no use getting upset about it while you are being paid. When your not being paid is when you get a little heated but never ever lose control of yourself because that is when you really get into TROUBLE! Never ever let others control your emotions! Because then they can and will CONTROL YOU!
Sir ""DUDE"" Glad you finally got loaded !!! Hope you DON"T have to wait at WI. for those tracks to arrive as looks like they can set the crane on blocks or ground !! ""Have a good trip & Hope you make it back for the holidays !!! ""KEEP IT SAFE ""!!!
maybe its just me as an operator, and i understand that every situation is different as far as site conditions. But, a week before we know we are going to tear down and move a crane, we go into full clean up mode above and beyond daily house keeping and maintenance, and planning and coordination with the site management and safety so all procedures approved and site conditions are proper for ease of loading. that way when the truck(s) show up, our smallest crane is 1 heavy haul and 4 fall off loads. everything is ready to load and get on down the road. just my 2 cents.
Also applying ani-seize on those bolts makes a job whole lot easier, and there is alot of “professional” assemblers (mechanics/riggers whatever name they use) of machines that have no clue, nor read the instructions that come with the machine cos they know better.come year later they scratching their dumb head that things dont come apart like they suppose to and blame the machine itself!
by the sound of train horns in the background you were picking up a crane from the Brightline Lake Okeechobee Project. I heard they were having problems with the cranes looks like this one will have to go to the shop.
Couple guys actually working, and half a dozen stupid-visors: Makes you wonder how anything gets done anymore. I worked with all manner of heavy things in the Army for 25+ years, doing some shady things at times, and never lost a man, never anything more than a scraped knuckle.
They used you to do quite a bit of extra service and load on your equipment because they didn’t have the hydraulic jacks or dunnage to float the crane in order to remove the tracks. That’s real dangerous work too, they should have included all this in an approved demob plan with added charges but instead they held you hostage and just paid detention. Quite a situation, need to get to the destination, unload this beast. Safe travels amigo
My wife tells me I should write a book. My life experiences are not really what most people encounter. It wasn't my choice, life just happened for me that way.
To speak Italian just use your hands. They will understand fully. I can somewhat read Spanish. Speaking and listening to somoeone speaking it you can forget it. Bad enough when my mother speaks German as i typically respond back with "repeat that". Typically she then realized its the wrong language she spoke to me in. I did learn what spanish i know from Rosetta Stone. I picked it up quick and still recall everything from it. Best way to learn.
Enjoy watching your video's, but I have a question if you haul a load like that crane cross country what can your gross permitted weight be with that set up that you have? I know weight limits very state by state.
Things didn't look right with the blue wrench, and removing just the track. Sparks aren't coming from the right area. Then the HOLE assembly comes off, and I get the picture !
Hi Mitch looks like you're keeping busy that crane turned out to be a real pain in the ass not having hydraulic jacks on it I'm guessing you're going to have to wait for them to reinstall the tracks to unload it's nice to hear you're getting paid for your detention time probably looking at another full day just to unload it pretty sure you're not too happy about it but what are you going to do happy Holidays to you safe travels
@@KeepingitAnalog hello. from what I seen that load securement is a lot short of right. seen no cross chaining, and no extra brake chains? go figure. hope it don't roll , hope it doesn't shift, hope you understand?
It has 4 chains on the base, that is 60K. One chain on the boom that makes 75K total. It has more than is required by law. Please explain how something without wheels or tracks can roll.
@@KeepingitAnalog I think he’s referring to the cargo securment rulebook stating that a load needs 80/20 with 80% of cargo weight pulling back to prevent load shift due to a hard brake situation. I know you have that crane sitting on boards and not flush on your trailer and you know just as well as I o how often those crazy 4wheelers have you jammin on your brakes which means it’s possible to put a lot of stress on them chains between fl an wi
‘Safety monsters’ on some of these jobs have gone completely overboard. I fully understand eliminating as much risk as possible but regulators must regulate. use common sense and due diligence and stay safe.
@@KeepingitAnalog. Good deal. Please keep up these good videos. It’s so refreshing to see someone that knows what they are doing but not coming across as a know it all. I won’t say his name but you know who I’m talking about.
@@Military-Museum-LP the guy you allude to doesn’t know what he’s doing. I just watched a video of his where he loaded the tires and the machine and knew he was going to be overweight and thought that was legal. If your wondering you can’t permit for overweight in the states with a divisible load.
Hey I'm just curious I had just watched your video about you said you was thinking about getting a gold hoffer, what would be the benefit of that over something like one of the surplus m1000 trailers? Have you ever really looked at those and are they a viable option? I've never seen anyone pulling one down the road.
@@KeepingitAnalog yeah I know they don't have to get permits. I was just wondering about the usableness of something like that I think they're rated for 70 or 80 tons and all the wheels turn just like a goldhoffer they have a lot of similarities between them and the one that you had in that video and I know that you can get them at a pretty affordable price in comparison.
Are you referring to Dratchev? If so I have to be honest, even though he doesn't like me. He does a very good job with cargo securement. It's unfortunate he can't use grade 100 chains. But he does a great job.
@@KeepingitAnalog I appreciate the maintenance of your equipment and your knowledge of it...you don’t misuse it or run it into the ground without simple maintenance.
