$50 for this?! Come on guys... This is semi-useful but seriously $50 that is a joke. Good concept but someone could make 3/4 of that stuff for under $5

I was a locksmith for 20 years. I could escape handcuffs in under 9 seconds with just a paperclip. It doesn't take much once you know how.

lol when he put the double lock in the handcuffs, the seccond time, he broke the cheap plastic key and then he put it with the rest of the plastic crap to hide the broken piece..

With it's contents, it's a functional and well-priced kit. It's one of those things that you'll likely never need, but would be kicking yourself in the ass if you're ever in the situation where it would have saved your life. A "Better Safe Than Sorry" compliment of useful tools. Although I don't care for polymer keys, they are useful if stored and used properly. This type of kit would cost you more to put together yourself, including shipping prices to your doorstep, than to purchase this one.

Dj- if no one is home, it's not a home invasion, it's burglary. Home invasions happen to good people pretty frequently. 2 weeks ago the woman in NJ caught her ordeal on a nanny cam. The couple in Florida was bound and murdered in their own home. People are forcibly detained by not nice people in other countries and held at great length for ransom. Having the tools available to assist in your own escape is crucial to many of us. If you live in an insulated bubble, that's cool. Good for you.

I can open a zip tie with the buckle of my watch. Just stick the narrow middle piece of the buckle into the large end of the zip tie between the tail and the ratchet. The ratchet should release and the zip tie will open. In most cases, it can even be reused.

so how you mentioned to get your hands on all that when your tied up Plus that by pass won't work on a good pad lock then you've had it anyway your just assuming there going to use cheap padlocks

It is amazing how blind so many people are to basic escape methods for probable capture techniques. What you use these tools for is up to you. Is it likely you'll ever be captured? Not at all. Do I carry around something like this? Not at all. Would I ever buy this kit? Definitely! Escapology is a great subject to study, and learning to apply it to the much more unlikely situations can be quite entertaining, as well as informative. Also, anyone who thinks this kit can't be hidden on your person is pretty stupid. For some thing, a simple keyring will suffice (like the padlock bypass and the handcuff shim. Sure, they will likely be the first to be taken from you, but they're the least likely tools you'll need. Pop a cuff key in your sock, and one in the seam of your pants (waist, hidden under a belt). Put the ceramic razor blade in a cuff of your jeans/pants. Diamond wire can fit in many crevices and small spaces in a shoe, hat, belt, or if down a seam in your pants/shorts. Everything else could be loose in a pocket, or distributed pretty easily through other parts of clothing. Will it take time and effort to modify clothing for this? Absolutely. Is it pretty cool when you finish hiding this shit, and realise you have tools at hand in most captive situations? You bet. Will you ever need it? Unlikely, but you'll be able to get free if necessary. Should you need to ever this stuff, you probably already know all the ins and outs of breaking free from an attacker. Releasing this to the public is more or less feeding a frenzy of martial law fearers, and paranoia. Still, it's an interesting art. This kit is actually pretty legit. Not going to lie. I'll probably get it at some point, or make my own, for basic daily carry. All I'd need is a spare pair of shoes, a hat, and an extra belt lmfao.

Yeah, soon as your arrested and frisked those will be confiscated . Theirs a handcuff key that's flat and slips behind your belt and is very concealable. The other alternative is the Shim ring, but if your double locked in the cuffs your out of luck.

Why do you put Urban at the front of loads of these videos, will these products not work in rural areas will they turn to dust if you attempt to use them?

I think escape and evade tools and training is more realistic than wilderness survival. Most people live in urban or suburban areas. I think if you travel overseas and are in bad areas it would be good. If you are in the military or doing NGO work it would be great.

so if i get arrested or kidnaped where do i hide all that so i can later on use it and escape, or should i just tell the cops or the kidnappers thats my heart medicine and i need it with me at all times. just saying

I always see these kits or items to break into a house or to get out of restraint but i've never heard ANYTHING of anyone ever using something they've bought from online to to get out of a life and death scenario like these would be used for.

You never set the double lock. You kept moving it the other way around. I am surprised you never noticed when you said you turn it one way... and then it opened because you turned it the normal way first.

If your hands are tied behind your back and this kit is in your front pocket... ... or your hands are tied in the front and this is in your back pocket, how are you expected to get to it? Or what if they search your pockets for keys/wallet/phone like a ordinary robber might think to do? Or what if a criminal uses this to break into stuff?

Where would you store, or put, the kit? Not likely you could hope to hide it in your pocket.

If detained by police, they don't take your belt/jewelry/shoes and search thoroughly(lift balls, squat/cough, shake hair, open mouth, etc. until you're processed) I imagine most of these you can sew into your clothing, wear as/in jewelry, or otherwise keep hidden possibly in plain sight. If frisked by police or other criminals, they don't usually take notice of a little extra bulk in normal bulk areas(pants waist). You can sew a handcuff key onto back of belt, wear kevlar bracelet, etc.

lol, They should consider the fact that they would have to be caught first to do any escaping from the police, and quite frankly, if they caught you the first time they'll catch you a second time just as easy, but you'll have more charges, and bruises. In some countries it is a big problem with the kidnapping and stuff. So kits like this would be a really good ideal.

just a note the quick stick will almost never work on any modern lock. only cheap china locks and offbrand dollar store locks will work with it. most modern locks have guards against the key bypass i suggest you take 2 shims and stick them in the inside of both sides of the lock bar

I wonder if those young girls trapped in that Cleaveland basement could have used these techniques. Maybe their stay there would have only been 10 days and not 10 YEARS!!!!!

Pretty sure everyone knows that even if they get out of handcuffs, there's no way they can stand up and run fast enough, or figure out a way to break the bars on the car window fast enough to get away and not just add another charge.

I'd have left it out of the kit, personally- but it could be useful for those who were taken from their homes to an unfamiliar location. The idea isn't a specific application, just a small kit of useful things. Without the right mindset the tools won't help you anyways.

Where in any of comments did i say home invaders didn't use cuffs. I said arguably there is a higher chance of being cuffed by a false arrest then home invasion. I think the amount of false arrests reported in every state on the daily is strong evidence for my case. Not to mention not ALL home invasions restraints are used. AKA the recent video of the guy breaking and beating lady in front of her kid in NJ. He didn't use cuffs. No one is saying don't be prepared for either scenario, chillax

How do you get to these tools if you are handcuffed behind your back? What if you are searched after being cuffed? A demonstration while you are cuffed would be a better sell point. good Idea but not very realistic.

its happens sadly, but in your opinion: What happens more often. Wrongful arrests, where police slap cuffs on innocent people or home invasions where people are cuffed or restrained. google search for this also brings up plenty. Just curious, Having a chat with some other folks about this.

you got me all wrong. I am a huge fan of the kit and will likely buy it soon. And I love the fact that ITS has the courage to put content like this out. What do you think most police will think of this kit? My guess is they won't like it. Anyone can buy it right? I'm sure they look down on it more then the home invaders. The police are nothing more then enforcers for the state which are often run by tyrants like say obama. Are you saying the police don't illegally detain people?

Oh yea, and if you buy this kit, you automatically assume the criminal will not search you for anything.

If my hands are tied behind my back, your "kit" is useless. And if my agressors are smart, they have check my pockets and find my kit.

The padlock being used for this demo is one of the cheapest and most poorly built out there and his "by pass" method will FAIL when used on padlocks of any quality. Also, when unlawfully restrained the odds you will be able to hide this bulky pack of tools is highly unlikely.

And just HOW do you expect a person to be able to use this kit .. IF already restrained? Using their toes as hands and pick the lock or open the blade to cut through the zip-ties? Come on, this is just ridiculous.

So, you believe it would be a waste of money to purchase this kit since the likelihood of being illegally detained (kidnapped) is slim in comparison to being arrested and detained by law enforcement? A statistic which you have failed to provide proof to support your claim. And they clearly state that this kit is being provided to others in the event that a person is illegally detained (kidnapped). They never made mention of using this kit to escape law enforcement.

Arguably there is a higher chance of being illegally detained by the state then by a home invader. Don't most home invasions happen when nobody is home? In regards to police and arresting people everyone knows its common practice for them to arrest first and let the prosecution and judges sort it out later. I am sure ITS Tactical already knows this and is the reason they pick the words they use carefully. Some balls to put out videos like this during these times regardless though

Government doesn't get to give legal permission it itself does not have. If it violates the Constitution, the highest law of our land, or the law of the common man, the common law we all know and agree on without having to write it, it is illegal... doesn't matter what law was passed saying it is okay.
