Because if it don’t make dollars it doesn’t make common sense to play in them . Can’t lose money to prove a point. Thats irresponsible ! And Jackson State will not be irresponsible to it’s players, coaches, fans, administrators, faculty, and staff .

I'm sure some people think Deion wants to LOOK IMPORTANT by having police escorts, but please realize the police escorts are to protect the team from untold amounts of threats. Deion is familiar with the hate and jealousy. But, it is different when you are trying to protect someone's child/family member in your care. Frienemies are real people and they most often walk, talk, and eat with you daily. Some even live with you. I'm praying for all of the HBCU students, teams and staffing, caterers, drivers, fans, families, security, referees, the stadiums and their staffing, their leaders, as well as, their enemies. Evil is bigger, bolder, and more in your face than ever. Let us please keep everyone protected in prayer, peace, and love. Enjoy the coming together, sharing, and caring. State Troopers are a courtesy of the Governor's Office and locals are assigned by Mayors. Troopers and University Security also travel with the Bands..... I am an HBCU Grad and Administrator.
No not to look important just to make sure that all will be protected. He has his football team, staff, all that are associated with the team, sonic band, his sons and especially himself. If you’ve been a fan of Prime from Florida State days, NFL days, NBL days this is the norm. This is his space. As a parent you can appreciate this. He’s looking out for your kids etc.

They need new facilities bad. The current setup doesn't have the capacity for the big time. As HBCU's gain more popularity things will need to be upgraded. I saw a lot of barren land on the way and some of it could be used to build a new stadium and parking lot. Support our HBCU's so they can do what is needed.
It's standard protocol. Has nothing to do with who the team is. All teams get the same treatment. Even high schools are escorted by law enforcement. Hence, also why you always see state troopers escorting the coaches on the field.
