Taken from us at the tender age of 44, all I can say is that God only lets us enjoy them for a little time and then they are his forever. Can you imagine the music in heaven, I can't wait to hear it, AMAZING GRACE!!!!
knopfler also plays on this track and does background vocals. Specifically, listen to it with headphones. the guitar parts by knopfler are on the left side and have a distinctive tone and mark's signature plucking
@@PirateRadioPodcastsNo. It was meant to be on the Dire Straits album On Every Street but didn't make it. He then gave it to Jeff Healy. Dire Straits played it live a couple times on that same tour and prior to that tour at Knebworth 1990 with Eric Clapton. It's even on the Dire Straits 1978 - 1992 Live remastered release which came out last year. Go check it out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-w7hf4CUm6HQ.htmlsi=TsiO_sSoNucku9zN
уникальный гитарист с уникальными данными,жаль что его не стало ,я без конечно слушаю его не уставая .в его песнях особая энергетика , Джефф я вечный твой поклонник ! Царство тебе небесное !
Its so sad that two of favourite blues/rock men, Jeff Healey and Gary moore have passed away. I think by playing and listening to there music that they still live on.
WOW, i just happened to notice this guy & started to listen to him & thought I would go & see him live. Then then I happen to notice a comment about his death & a Canadian, makes him even more special. I'm soo sorry to hear of his death
I'm reading your comments and Am Happy to see that Jeff Healey inspired So Much,Love and Admiration! Any Time I listen to His Magic, I recover the Hope in Humanity. THANK U JEFF!!! Q;oD.
I had some great memories of listening to Jeff while at the 50th Sturgis rally. All our campground neighbor's came over to listen to him and loved what they heard! Miss you Jeff!

Thank you Jeff for being a big Thank you Jeff for being a big part of my teenage years. Still rememing you..listening to you..Rip part of my teen years..still remember and still playing your songs
This song may have been the one that inspired me to pick up my first Fender Strat in my junior year of college. The last two minutes are like a rich, bluesy double helix of Healey's and Knopfler's amazing and unique playing styles. #priceless...
Haha, yes... "bluesy double helix", that's a smart description of this wonderful guitar duet. One of the best ever having been recorded, I guess. One completes the other in a congenial way.
FUN FACT: Unbeknownst to us, back in the day, via KELOWNA, BC, we were "booked" 2 open for JEFF. Long story. Would have been great to meet him. Maybe NEXT go round, huh? A GREAT musician, late night radio host, talent & performer! #RIP
He was such a awesome GIFT, to this World. It is ACTUALLY a better way to be.Stop watching , the videos.Just for minute, you'll get the true gift.: EAR SAY, seeing with your EARS ! HE WAS BLESSED MAN.
I LOVE this - I've loved it for many years - r.i.p Jeff Healey - you were one of the greatest - I'm happy that I got to write to you shortly before you died - I hope your wonderful wife and kids are doing ok
I would have to say, he ranks up there, with Stevie Wonder, on his piano's, as Jeff did on the guitar's! He can play guitar, better then anyone else I know, who can see, let alone feel the rhythm to his guitar! Just like Stevie could, with the piano's & keyboard's! Sad to know you left, before your time, in the fame! Remember, you may have left us, but you will never be forgotten! I say, Jeff is even better, then the so-called "king of rock/blues Elvis"! I first heard Jeff's rhythm to his guitar, when I first watched Roadhouse(1989), right after it hit the theater's! Loved his music, back then! Jeff has one hell of a voice, as well!
wildlife T-shirts My first reaction was, 'how can one dance and not just comfortably relax to enjoy and listen to this most soulful blues song . But l now realise that this song is also excellent to dance to. Lets all broaden our horizon and learn to appreciate the different genres and tastes of all styles of music 🎶.
I found some old photos of Jeff and me playing at Blackbeard's Cove when he was shooting a video for MuchMusic circa 1991. He played great though he told me my guitar sucked. I had him sign it and it still hangs on the wall. It still sucks to play but it reminds of his generosity and friendship. What a great guy.
I have said this before but I will say it again. Jeff Healey is the best guitarist I ever saw live. I saw Healey open for SRV and Jeff was the better guitarist.
Actually, Bonamassa plays the blues quite well as long with other styles. I've been a big fan from a longtime and I'd recommend " If Heartaches were Nickels" written by the great Warren Haynes. I also love some "Long Distance Blues" He's got something for just about everybody, check out his work with Beth Hart or BCC
