I bought this cd from the Salvation Army in mint condition for $1.00. Not knowing anything about these boys. I went to work and put in in my Walkman cd player while I work, not knowing what to expect. I laughed so hard that day, I had stomach cramps. I then went to amazon and bought all of their other CD's. This particular skit sold me to The Jerky Boys,. My mom's name is Martha, as well.
Omg this is hilarious. The kids voice fits perfectly. Just slightly on the edge of losing it but trying to keep it together, and then stepping off into paranoia and insanity when he makes the illogical leap to uncle Freddie dying. Perfection.
I consider myself a Jerky Boys historian, and want to point out the evolution of the Kissell character. Originally, a fresh-faced dad, raising Anthony with Martha. In later years, Anthony leaves the house. I think this might have been before Martha pulled the knife out on Frank, and before Frank ordered that her house get torn down, so he could put up a "hot dog stand or some sh1t" Later, as Kissel aged, likely having rid himself of the drama with Martha, he got a nice young immigrant boy to do odd jobs for him, and to take his aggression out on. I refuse to acknowledge the over the top prosthetic-faced Kissell, in that insane clown posse movie.
Mike Mig Kamal was a bit of a hack -- not only did he resort to sexual harassment on that call, but he could barely contain his laughter (e.g., "balloons that break in the audience"... and "stop that.. stop that".) Johnny was a professional. Only got abusive to men, only cracked up once or twice, and it was for a split second. Johnny's only slip up was when he called himself "Paul" Rizzo, confusing his own name with the guy on the phone.
Frank Rizzo said some things to women like, "sugar face" that were a bit inappropriate. Frank Rizzo also does inappropriate things in the window when kids are playing baseball in the neighborhood.
Of course. Johnny called Juggy's wife "barrel ass" and ridiculed a demented old man for laughs. Now I happen to find all of that funny, but to assert that Johnny was a professional while Kamal was not is to not be a historian, but a revisionist.
My wife just came in to tell me that her Uncle Freddy who she was not close with had passed today. It was all I could do not to break into character and start screaming Uncle Freddie died?
Man did that guy (KISSEL) sound very close to my father's way of talking - Jeesh and my father was a real Enforcer in the mob under Joe Bonnano. These people have it nailed. Bravo.
You guys rock so very funny.I have been listening to you guys for over 20 years and i still piss myself laughing.Keep up with phone calls they are so fucking funny.S.Simpson.Toronto Canada.Posted january 24 2016.
When these albums first came out I bought the cassettes and would listen them in bed with headphones on while my ex was trying to sleep. She said she could never sleep when I did that because the bed would vibrate from my laughing from how I tried to laugh silently.
@jbjindra My favorite Jerky Boys cut and quite different from the rest of that CD. I don't know who's playing Anthony but he does a great job of creating the whole scenario with no help from the other guy. Kissel's pretty great too.
was anthony peralo the one who came up with the uncle freddy skit? heard he was kamals drummer on a lot of soundtracks e.g. GOD HAS A RAP SHEET, RAPTORIOUS also . the little kid voice is hysterical . love the old geezer on the other end. classic JERKY BOYS moment.
@yuritim You mean the guy who plays Kissel? It's Kamal. If you've ever heard him speak in his regular voice you'd see it's not much different, he's just swallowing his words, doing like an old man thing.
Whats taking youz guyz.......All of da waddah is all ova da floooah...24 Crescent place...are you Freddie? I think your talkin to the wrong party pall...OOh Nooo, OHHHH Nooooo, here talk to my dad.
