These guys are great because they capture that raw energy that Jethro Tull used to have before it turned into the Ian Anderson Orchestra. I love all Tull, but there is still a fascination with the early energy and improvisational attitude of the band. Beautiful!
I grew up with this music. Saw a commercial about jungles and this song popped in my head. Crazy memories but they are some of the best parts of my life. Used to blast this tune from a cassette in my 79 Pontiac Le Mans on Harlem in Chicago. Great times.
Chicago DJs Larry Lujack and Tommy Edwards would always use the intro to start off their Animal Stories. Both of them were NUTS and played well off of each other! 🤣🤣🤣
Remarkable band. Paul Forrest (Ian Anderson) - are you intentionally playing all your F#'s with the wrong fingering on the flute? I believe Ian played the that way himself for the first decade or so of his career as a flutist. He does finger it in the traditional way now, as far as I can see. At any rate, I'm deeply impressed by what you've achieved. Thanks for sharing.
