@@michellemckillop5712 They were having difficulties. His public persona was way more than she bargained for. They were a mismatch. She actually cheated on him with an ex during their marriage. Had they lived, they wouldn’t have lasted. It’s a pity, as they were very likable. It was particularly tragic for her family to lose her and her sister due to his negligence.

Which may also be different from how he dealt with his friends personally. I’ve not heard any of his friends refer to him as an @$$hole in private. Same with her. I just think that they were a mismatch. Two beautiful people met, he was a most eligible bachelor who was ready to settle down and have a wife and kids “Kennedy-style,” especially if he was going to have a future political career. She was beautiful, smart, independent, with her own career going. They both appeared to check all the right boxes. But when you have mismatched personalities and one or both partners abuses drugs like, many young professionals in NYC at the time, then you have a toxic mix that isn’t conducive to a harmonious, long-term union.

Nobody knows why JK Jr chose to fly over the ocean instead of above the land. He was not experienced enough and while flying over the land he would have visual contact and not suffer spatial disorientation. Also plane was equipped with auto pilot. Human error. Simple.

Marie Mervilus I keep to myself & cry alot.....like every day. Went out to the cemetery, which I have been told to stay away from because I get so depressed. Just one loved one after another out there. In fact, across from my dad is a good friend who died at 34-years-old. Then my friends who died in accident all 3 lying right next to each other. Another friend I have known all my life died of cancer at 48-years-old, my uncle the list just keeps building. Hubris ... like several of his now deceased male relatives, John-John simply got "too Far Out over his Skis" ... contrary to some characterizations in the MSM, he was NOT a very "Experienced Pilot" particularly in the Piper PA-32R-301 Saratoga II HP he'd owned for a little over three months ... the Saratoga was well-equipped with Nav equipment & included a Bendix/King 150-series autopilot, a Bendix/King KLN-90B GPS navigator with a basic moving map, two Bendix/King KX-165 nav/comms & a Bendix/King KR-87 ADF. perfect for a season pilot with an instrument rating ... but John-John was NOT a seasoned pilot with an instrument rating ... he was more like the 25 year old neighbor kid I knew whose parents bought him a $250,000 McLaren GT which he promptly wrapped around a tree the same day & 'Bought the Farm' ... on this particular flight, John-John took off from NJ under Visual Flight Rules, but despite the classic summertime coastal haze & humidity prevalent at The Vineyard, he ignorantly "continued VFR" into Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC) simply because he could ... his plane's Autopilot/ GPS gear gave him a false sense of security ... and the last few minutes of his flight path conclusively shows that when he got to within 16 miles from the Martha’s Vineyard (Mass.) Airport (KMVY) and presumably clicked off the Autopilot expecting to see the airport lights, he couldn't 'See Sh*t' & started feverishly doing turns "in the Soup" not realizing he wasn't flying level, but descending and rapidly accelerating to a speed to 250+ KIAS [the Saratoga's Never Exceed (VNE) speed was 193 KIAS] in a terminal 4700 FPM nose down dive proving he had not developed the requisite instrument cross-check for the weather conditions he encountered off The Vineyard ... the ingrained & arrogant Dare Devil Attitude of Kennedy Men bit him in the ass ....
