For players like me who have a tendency to push their hands towards the ball too early in their swing, this seems like a very good drill.

Can this Device be used to take live BP?

We do have a few drills where some light hitting can be down with it like the “JK drill” but not full or live swings. This is mostly used for learning the sequence of loading properly and turning.

@@BaseballRebellion What would be the downside to full swings? just curious, would it create bad habits or be uncomfortable?

KB Adams Well it’s design doesn’t allow for holding the bat with two hands for most people. The concept is to take the hands away outside of the hitters top hand. If you did use two hands and try to hit with it the arms would not be able to release out. The benefit would be working on perfect timing which we know is difficult. But you can definitely try and see if it works for you! Again mostly used for proper sequencing and timing the turn.

Do you actually hit the ball? Or would it work on like a tire, punching bag during this drill ?

You can actually hit a ball while doing this drill but it is for more advanced/older hitters. You definitely could hit a tire or something like that as well. Just be careful with youth players as their wrist and other areas are still developing. - JK

Hell no. Bad technique on your swing itself. But your device with a good fluid swing will block your front wing from shortening n closing to get around the front side quicker n more efficiently.

This is a drill to which fix a mechanical flaw, not a full swing by any means. Have you seen our breakdowns on full swings?

Larry, your comments are bad technique. You don't have a clue about how the best players in the world swing a bat. Why don't you learn something CORRECT first, not from the 1980s or 1990s, before "opening your mouth and removing all doubt"? It's not that you don't know so much, it's just that so much of what you know is wrong. Try watching some swing video breakdowns … from people who know what they're talking about (i.e., Baseball Rebellion).
