I can tell you, most asssuredly, that no animal deserves to be in the business of show. Carson was lucky to have not lost at least a finger to Zippy. The trainer is an odd duck, to be certain. Notice the hand movement of Zippy when he was asked to wave to Johnny.
Johnny was a great host, the best really. But this humanization and exploitation of Skippy by his “dad” was unfortunate, and unfair to Skippy. I’m glad such misuse of animals is less common these days.
Chimps are cute. Unfortunately they are too much like humans. Murderous and violent animals. Glad nothing bad happened on the show. Love and miss Johnny…

I'm glad you can't have chimps legally in the US anymore without being licensed as a animal rescue, etc. Poor Zippy, he wasn't born to be this guys toy.

Yes...just awful....almost as sad as the whiny crybaby Society we have today.....in basic training in all the military they can't yell at recruits.....it's the fucking military, you sign up to get screamed at, domeaned and told what todo.....we need more full metal jacket drill Sargents and less baby sitters running the military, teachers need to start smacking kids with paddles and rulers and tv shows need to be more like dukes of hazzard and airwolf and less like the good doctor and ....whatever that other shit is on abc. .....parents scared to let their kids go outside by themselves when they should be riding bikes without helmits. ....hell kid should at least go outside, get off the iPad and Xboxes and go see the sun.
