Quaaludes were becoming very popular in the early 70s. George is signaling his hipness by wearing a RORER 714 t-shirt. The same shirt is still available today...the pills aren't, however.

For those who don't recognize him? Four years after this appearance, Jackie Cooper went on to play Perry White opposite Christopher Reeve as Superman.

Kids can only see him on television. During his live shows, he cursed constantly. Couldn't take kids to his shows.
