He also neglected to tell how Jonathon openly stated he would play out his contract, multiple former GMs said that asking for waddle seemed reasonable, but regardless Dolphins SAID THERE WAS NO OFFER. Meaning it was an idea tossed around. Idk about you but I'm asking as high as possible. Last time I bought a car I didn't walk in and go, "f*ck it, will you take 500 bucks more than asking.?" They could offer him incentives but honestly it appears that the Colts have treated him well. Did he show up at training camp & ask for money knowing that he was hurt or at least couldn’t play? It seems strange that he’s on the PUP. The Colts merely showed Taylor that his agent is wrong & that there’s not a line of teams willing to give a high draft pick & then pay him as holdout.

The video completely took Jim Irsay out of context at 4:16. Irsay said that it doesn’t matter if Taylor, or Irsay or any one person is in the NFL because the NFL goes on. It’s a privilege to be there. Why misrepresent Irsay like that? It’s not about good guys & bad guys. It’s about being accurate. Taylor is was being paid around $4.3M & said he wanted more. After that it’s a contract dispute & the CBA provides remedies upon which both sides agreed. So why not just report on it rather than picking a villain? Truth is far more interesting with each party doing what they can within the contract.

Theres no reason for kickers to be paid higher than a guy who is clearly the entire offense. 2 years ago he carried the team on his back to the playoffs, the very next year he gets hurt and the team sucks. Bench him the rest of the season. Franchise tag him then sit him the following year as well. He already has a contract, he's not as big of a deal as he thinks. He's injured and wants top dollar. He should have played this season then worried about a new deal. Irsay is a jerk but Taylor is acting like a little kid.

Using the franchise tag in that manner is going to dissuade star players from wanting to sign with the Colts in the future. The franchise tag was not designed to be used as a retribution tactic, and this type of thinking is why they haven’t been good since Tony Dungy was the head coach.

Best and most successful team in the AFC South.... You can have Jax, Tenn, or Houston ....I will take the Colts any day and they will be winning the division next year. Count on it.
