yes a lot of people don´t know but the two models showed it misses a model inbetween the two ,that i have one and only saw two others in all my life and it was given to me by the owner of a garage where there were parked old Rolls Royce ,Bentleys ,Aston Martin´s and old Jaguars and the huge but large and low also long 645i from 76 ,i spent a lot of money in gasoline to drive it home 200kms far away, it´s showed the first model from 1970 with the 80´s model and the mid 70´s model or second half of the 70´s model it´s missing , this one from the 80´s was a car to try to win the better coupé car from the 80´s against the 500SEC from Mercedes, most of BMW´s models that were still being sold in early 80´s had been released in 74 or earlier, like the 520 (74) theb 523i (76) and the 535i (81) also the 524tds(diesel engine, turbo),later they released a new body that it was the 525TDS still in the 80´s. Now old cars are being sold by a fortune, in the 90´s or late 80´s people wouldn´t know what to do with this old and high gasoline comsumption cars, sold very cheap or ofered , my 74 2800csi coupé i went to see him in a village near by my hometown in a big house ,kind of a palace of a grandfather of a friend of mine that knew i liked old cars , i went there with a complete restored 2002 from 74 ,it looked all original and like if it was taken from a dealer ,everything there was what the car had when released ,he asked me for less than what today is 750€ ,i didn´t had room to store it so i kind of said that i didn´t want it because of what i just written but the old man said: - It´s here for a lot of years this is a very good BMW but my grandsons say they don´t want old cars so it´s here but if you find a place to store it, i will give it to you; this after seeing on the street my looking new BMW 2002 from 74, that´s what i did ,i sold a mercedes from the 60´s kind of what in 68 was substituted by the W114/8, so i went there and the old man gave it to me,this looking new and working perfect
