Claudius is one of the most underrated emperors in my opinion.

I look up to tiberius. He was not power hungry. He had many hardships but still remained true to his morals. A frugal politician who was unwilling to waste public money. My kind of guy.

I very much appreciate you for giving Tiberius a break and acknowledging how much of an unfair bad rep he gets when he was possibly the 2nd if not 3rd best Princep of the Julio-Claudian dynasty and one of the better emperors of Rome in general.

Caligula was killed because he was openly calling himself a god and saying he was going to move the court to Alexandria. Augustus was very careful to say he was the SON of a god as to not being sacreligious and Caligula goes and blows all of that up

Julio Claudian dynasty is my Fav dynasty by far. It, along with the Flavian and Nerva Antonine dynasties, are the 3 best dynasties in Rome. The duynasty had several good long reigning members, the only one who I truly don't think was good was caligula, and even then, imo his intentions were pure

Regarding histories written by the Senatorial historians, how much should we ever trust what they say about emperors they were on poor terms with? I am getting the idea that we can trust their word as far as the Roman emperors could.

I feel like Tiberius gets a bad rep for a particularly odd reason. He's frequently seen as stingy with imperial wealth, which is a strange complain to make. He was one of the few emperors to leave Rome's economy in better shape than he found it, alongside the likes of Domitian and Anastasius. If he had been followed by a Trajan or a Justinian, he might have been remembered for his sensible economic policies. Unfortunately, his successors, aside from Claudius, were major soup sandwiches who squandered Rome's wealth on nonsense. I'm not as anti-Caligula or anti-Nero as some (in fact, I see Caligula as more unfortunate than malicious), but you have to admit, they were problematic emperors for various reasons.

Claudius always delivered just rulings? Doesn't Suetonius have an entire section on the insane and unjust rulings he delivered?

You forgot to mention that Nero blamed the Christians for the fire & that Caligula wanted to go to war with Neptune and the sea. Not a bad video, but I have heard much better explanations of these emperors.
