The reason I love this trick is that even when you showed how it's done it still looks so magical and unbelievable. You inspire me everytime I watch you, thanks man!
Chris this is it now its time for the THINK OF A CARD Mentalism tutorial next week and by the way today's tutorial is one of the most creative magic effects I have ever learned...Thank you so much.
I would make this trick personal to a couple. Ask one to pick red or black and the other to name a card, find it, put his/her name on the front and the other halfs on the back and do the trick. They found each other in real life and also in the cards! Sure to get a few tears! Thanks Chris you're amazing :D
Hey, I've been a subscriber for a while now and I took up card Magic shortly after and now I'm doing amateur shows learning the tricks from your channel. They are mainly just birthday parties but it's also helped me with noticing scams which has saved me some embarrassment as well Thank you so much for all the amazing videos
By the way I just ordered your deck! (Memento Mori) can't wait to get it, literally standing by my mailbox waiting. I'm not very patient and standing by the mailbox for 3-4 days is gonna suck. But worth it I believe. Please keep my mind distracted with more videos. You are the one who got me into cards and I'm very grateful for that. Maybe one day I will share my story with you. Thanks Chris Ramsay!
Very cool routine, sometimes I ask me some magic that I can do for kids, because sometimes, kids don't understand close up magic as well as adults understand than, I really appreciate this magic.
I've always loved magic as a kid, especially card tricks. But because I kinda have small hands I've never tried in fear that I couldn't do the slights. But THIS video has inspired me to give card magic a serious try at age 32. Also, subscribing to the channel of course. Keep up the great work! About to binge your stuff now.
Chris Ramsay At it again, showing how you don't need the most complex method to create a memorable experience of magic. (Btw, that steal is the K.M. move... a Marlo idea if I am not mistaken)
Your pass is really good man... I could see when you pulled it but I really couldn't see it happening it was sleighted so well an covered so well that even when I watched it over and over I couldn't see the pass happening (I knew when it happened though but damn it was hidden well)
Super nice video Chris! I'm definitely gonna use this as a trick to show people because I'm running out of good ones! I understand how it worked after watching the performance once, but you really did the trick so well, great job!
Last night my coworkers and I all went out for dinner and a few of them knew I have been doing magic so they got everyone to start asking for it. Well, I took my cards out and went at it doing at least 7 or 8 different tricks. They loved it and I even learned the kissing card trick and did that one and the girl was super shocked but hey yanno what ever gets the job done am I right? Just wanna say thank you for really putting in the time to make quality videos, and also thank you for that recommendation video about the magic books. I bought the expert card technique and have been running this four ace routine from it and that's a crowd favorite. Thank you again for everything just wanted to say that you really do help change lives
Next week can you do an ambitious card routine? The presentation I would use would be a soccer player or long jumper jumping from card to card or kicking there trying to find spectators drawing
About that focus issue: not sure what kind of camera you're using, but maybe worth noting that the auto-focus on many cameras is center-weighted and contrast-sensitive, so that it thinks ideal focus is when the high contrast parts in the center of the frame are sharpest. That painting in the background a few minutes in has that nice high-contrast bit of darker paint on the white canvas and it's smack in the middle of the frame, so your camera keeps thinking that's what you want to focus on. if you don't want to go to manual focus, you may want to set up your shots so that the background of the middle 1/3 of the frame is pretty uniform brightness and contrast - it'll help your camera stay focused on your hands or cards.
You're videos sir are really great. I'm using some of you're tricks. and its really awesome. I hope you make more videos for aspiring magicians like me😊
Oh my gosh!!!!! You’re soooooooo good at magic! I really wish that I could come and learn from you but I live in the uk! I find your channel very inspirational please don’t stop! In the future please could you make a video about magic for kids?
I'd probably draw a caricature of a detective. The typical Sherlock hat, mag glass, have him looking for the card. If doing the couple of "is this your card? No?" it could be the detective getting clues from other suspect cards to find the real one.
These tutorials on Monday could be called "Magic mentor mondays" if you're going for the alliteration. Keep up the good videos, this was a great trick!
This is so awesome! Pretty cool routine for kids and adults alike! I have always have a routine in mind but couldn't put it into action at the moment. But thanks for sharing your idea! Really loved your routines and tutorials!
I would draw the person's face in a manga style. It's something I got into and am fairly decent doing on the fly. I would then say that this "anime version" of them would magically attract its way into their card. My daughter Katelyn, she's a big fan, wants you to know she would draw a person with a heart head.
After your vlog I thought of an idea of easy trick. 1. The begginning is simmilar till moment when i draw something od card. I'm asking them to draw villian or someone like that, and than i draw a goofy looking hero. 2. Put this card in the middle and say that the hero is going to face villian (so his card would be one card upper than this) 3. Repeat this 2;3 times with no effect. 4. Say to them that hero will never face villian because he is goofy and didn't notice that the villian was always behind his back. Or with older audience: 1. There would be our signatures. Than I will try to find in the same way their card with no effect. 2. When they are starting to think "Well, nice try but not this time" I can show them "Ok... To be honest I can't find your card in this way. It's impossible because the card with my signature and with yours is the same card"
HAHA What a trick thank you so much that was cool. When I watched that kid get his mind blown Idk who was more confused me or him. Thank you so much Chris I love everything you do you really have helped me in ways no one could every do.
This trick could be used as a way to break the ice with someone. For example you could ask them to write their favorite number, and you draw a magician. Just before you reveal that the magician has found their card, make special care to say "Maybe after this the magician can get your number."
Awesome trick to use for openings. At the beginning of the video you mentioned that you don't "tutorial Monday". Here is my suggestion for a name "Magical Monday Mentoring"
I'd draw a stickman with a crown and next to it a K with a small diamond, King of Diamonds is my favourite playing card just love the aesthetic of them no matter what deck I get I always check out the King of Diamonds first
I think I would draw a drill because I work at a chemical plant and use power tools every day.. I don't really know how I would work ghat but I could figure it out! Haha! Anyway we could get tutorials on some different maybe less well known color changes? Just I like color changes and use them a lot in performance and teaching but I'm getting bored of using the same old ones. Thanks Chris!!!
Simon Cranmer there is one called the "magician cooler" color change if I am not mistakes. Easily one of the hardest color changes out there. You have to card with a double lift, one face down and the other one face up laying on each other. Then u flip the cards (nearly like a tg Murphy deck flip) in the air and they change position. It's crazy hard but also super amazing.
I think on the front I would draw myself like a stickman and try that a girl writes her number on the card, then like magic her number finds me... I think it's great if you don't want to walk straight up at her and ask for the number. GL with this idea, I personally think I wouldn't do that, but if you want, go out and try
Thanks for the great tutorial. I am no magician just like magic and this seemed simple enough for me to try it out and I think with little practise I can fool my niece and nephew. Keep up the good work.
Keep up the good work man love the content and would like to ask you should i try to make my own magic tricks more than learning old ones i am right now in magic for 3 years and ik some stuff so i wanted to ask should i try make my own tricks thanks
Im gonna tell you, I'm in magic for only 2 months and i love it, I learned lots of technics (card controls, cuts, false, hot Shot) and I use them with other technics to make my own tricks (that fit my way of performing and my personality) so yeah dude go ahead and try your own style
Mostly I do the trick 'Card Toon' before, and then I just draw the "little helper from the last trick. Sometimes he just knows your card and sometimes he is able to find your card too"
