I REALLY didn’t think what Katt was saying was even all that crazy I was even more shocked that people really wanted to hear what Katt Williams had to say about anything because how low key he is.
He’s not really low key, he’s doing a lot of shows. It’s just that he doesn’t do that many roles & drops a special every 5 years so he doesn’t really have much to promote most of the time
Tryna figure out what fuckin point Faizon is tryna make in this response is probably the most ive ever laughed at him. Literally outta nowhere with a Cosby impression.
Ricky copped every plea there was to cop. Wow. For him to say all that and not only not have a rebuttal but to go as far as to promote Katts tour dates…dawg Katt really punked ALL of them.
Ricky chooses to take the high road and people still say he got punked, smh. Basically its a no win situation for him apparently and a can't lose situation for Katt.
@@chrisb7831 if the high road is calling up your white homie so he can tell you how legendary you were when you wore a dress is taking the high road, I’m taking the side streets
Yes it was a bad move to bring up The Player's Club but not because it had several suggested SA scenes, but because the Money Mike scene and the scenes from the Player's Club served two totally different functions. There was much more nuance involved in the Player's Club that painted a narrative of the unfortunate dangers of sex work. In Friday (after next) though, while I see what he was going for, it felt more like the party was to set up the Money Mike scene which sux because imo that was the least funny punchline in the entire movie. 😂
Bro said TV, Movies, & Standup… Well Katt has won an Emmy for his role on Atlanta (TV), He’s been in 14 movies, & has 19 (Soon to be 20 specials) on Netflix! I’d say that’s a PRETTY COMPLETE ARTIST… Unlike Faizon with…? i’ll wait.
the guy mentioned that only male actors existed in shakespeares time is bc he wanted to point out that this expectation of men not to wear dresses like this in movies is a relatively modern gender aspect that makes no sense at all. aside from ignoring katts other points, this was fairly reasonable imo
I think the dress thing really stems from the history of black men people put in dresses as a form of minstrelcy to mock and stereotype BLACK WOMEN in a ridiculous manner that wasnt funny from jump. That part never makes it into the conversation so it ends up being this half a$$ed convo about black masculinity that doesnt include discourse on the gross depictions of black women. Best example i can think of is throwing on black face as a white man and being more concerned about how people would feel about you wearing makeup... and completly focusing on an irrelevant point in the conversation.
Except it’s not completely irrelevant, but you are allowed your opinion. This is “take your meeting with Harvey” type shit. But again people don’t care because it’s about black men lol
I think it’s a control thing. The white men who actually run the show in Hollywood probably laugh to themselves at the way they’re able to control these comedians. How they’re able to make them debase themselves to get what they want. They probably think “yeah well let you think you’re joining the club but you’re going to pay a price for it”. Meanwhile know they can snatch it back whenever they want.
Faizon's response is interesting because isn't this what Katt was talking about when he was talking about comedians leaving comedy and doing TV? When he mentioned Steve Harvey and how he left comedy? Katt mentioned how these comedians were looking down on him because he didn't have a show or successful movie. The fact that a lot of them are responding though is enough information to know they're bothered and shook. Who knew this podcast would be the time. Gotta get the shine I guess haha
Doing something you’re uncomfortable with for money is crazy. Whole time I’m black and have parents with very traditional views, but I don’t care if a man wants to wear a dress a wig or a space suit it doesn’t matter, but it sounds like these men are doing it just because other men have done it, even if they’re uncomfortable with it, which is selling your soul and compromising your values, so Kat Williams was right. you won’t lose any money or any respect from those you love if you keep it 100.
@@yamomspotatosalad818They aren't required to accept every bag that lands their way just like white actors should turn down roles that would have them in blackface if they feel uncomfortable, the problem is that these roles even exist like they could make alot of sht funny in other ways like Katts point for Big momma two the case was solved, do sumn else
@@Abdullah-vg1uc My brother, Just cuz people do it everyday doesn’t mean everyone should do it. You just justified the point you responding to The main reason people be doing things they don’t like is cuz they have to, these dudes didn’t really have to.
To be fair he said he would never show it, and he even said that even though it was in player’s club, it was left to your imagination. Also you know how this world works, cube spoke up cause that’s the only person that ppl will see as responsible because it’s HIS movie. No one is gonna look at anyone else that was on the board. So that would be why he spoke the way he did.
Rickey Son died of an overdose, for Katt to just say that was super low blow but it crazy Rickey basically proved Katt right because he is moving PC like he really did sell his soul.
His previous manager said pertaining to men having to wear a dress (in case y’all missed it) “it’s nothing more than a prop, it’s nothing more than a way up the ladder-“ And that’s the conspiracy theory😬 37:01
There is some truth to that but I don't think it's this oppressive or gate-keeping thing. Back in the 90's and 2000's, cross dressing or playing gay was an easy and cheap way to get laughs. It doesnt have the same impact now, but you can make easy money with this trope back then This is especially so if you look across the pond to british comedy where it's been a staple since Shakespeare's time
I get Ricky Smiley’s position. That man don’t want to beef. He’s still grieving and there’s really no reason to keep that negative energy going. Like I really think it’s just young ppl trying say he need to stand on bidness. He may just want peace fr
Katt struck a nerve. He got these ppl rapping in retaliation, they putting out statements talking in circles and tripping over their words, bringing up ppl he didn’t even mention. Hell it’s ppl who got nothing to do with it coming in 😂.
in our patriarchal society that looks down on femininity, the equivalent of wearing a dress for women isnt acting as a man, but portraying hyperfeminity or exposing their female body.
Thank you, a lot of kats reasoning behind the dress bullshit is blatantly homophobic. Talking about his "virgin hole" and shit lol. Like the P Diddy comments and the disses toward Cedric stealing his shit were the main draws for me. I could give a shit about whos doing drag for a movie and whether the check had a part in it. Ru Paul been out here doing his thing building an empire off it for years and there's no animosity towards that shit unless you're blatantly homophobic about it. Straight dudes just fragile as fuck about some fabric for no reason. If they weren't comfortable doing that they shouldn't have done it, but obviously they were fine with it and theres nothing wrong with that. A lot of the 'illuminati' tinged points Kat was making give me info wars qanon vibes and its weird as shit to see people back that mindset so quickly
Maybe it’s because they didn’t want to do it, because people are allowed to have their own boundaries. Then they had to do it for opportunities. I don’t see it any different from me too situations. Go meet with Harvey in his hotel room at 3am, and then you’ll be a star. Simple as that imo
@@Point_n_Shoot putting on a dress and doing sexual favors are too wildly different things though. I'm not saying it can't be traumatic to put on a dress if you're coerced into it, but it's a lot more reasonable and easier to say no to (especially as a man) than someone suggesting you do sexual favors or risk being blackballed by the industry. Diddys coercion escapades gay and straight are more equivalent to that and I'm in support of exposing that cause it's fucked up, I just think it could be done without the homophobia surrounding it the way Kat brought it up.
@@spikethrowaway It’s fine to be lgbtq+ or wear dresses if you want. It’s just another weird example of Hollywood using their power to bring people into the frat. Quid pro quo. It seems yucky. I was using hyperbole as the two circumstances aren’t 1 to 1 but the similarities are close enough to know creep when I see it. I def reached, thanks for being understanding
I didn't see what Katt said about Rickey's kid that passed away so for now I respect his response. The love he's showing and the love his people showing him was heartwarming tbh lol
@@OGseoulite Shawn said Katt said something about Ricky's kid so I was just going off that, I don't think Ricky brought that up, he said something like his family and kids didn't like the negative shit Katt was saying
What he said was Ricky just lost his son and get on Club Shay Shay and his own podcast yapping. That makes people believe in sacrifice rituals. He did attack his son or him for losing his son
41:45 I think the issue is most older people try to act professional in public. I’m sure h HATES Kat right now. But he’s doing that fake killin him with kindness. I know he hates him cause he never acknowledged being angry, hurt, or embarrassed. When you really forgive someone and “It’s all love” it’s cause you worked through the negative emotions. SANTA IS FAKE!!!!
i think Ice Cube made the video too clear the air … but honestly to come for Katt Williams behalf … more than anything and its over looked katt Addresses in the interview people talking down of Ice Cube’s Pay … and thats what ice cube is also addressing as of Pay … Its not a negative in anyway …
You don’t have to “care” about a man wearing a dress in movies to be able to understand why it’s a problem. Yes Katt Williams has played a pimp but if Hollywood was constantly pushing for black men to be pimps in half their roles, it would be weird. If it was all about the art, then we’d see roles where women play men a lot more as well.
It's insane to call Katt Williams overrated and then compare him to Eddie Murphy. Man if you're putting him in the same conversation as Eddie Murphy you're rating that person pretty high.
What you do with that is respond with the fact that Katt Williams also has created legendary characters in TV and in film. It's not that hard to respond.
The one thing that really makes me go "huh" is Ludacris not saying Katt lied about his fro and sideburns being cut. How did he have a fro and burns in 2fast2furious then, the movie was made in 2003. He wrote a whole rap and didn't even mention this. Were those glued on??? Did they spend over a million USD plus adding CGI side burns and fro to Ludacris in 2fast2furious, for some reason that literally no one knows? 😅😅😅 I had to go back to the movie to even confirm he had those things, since they're not a story or plot element. Like wtf is the reasoning to either glue another man's hairs to your face and head, or blow a million plus for no reason at all... Hollywood people are mad extra for no reason at all lmao
Fazon (I didn’t care enough to look up how it was spelled so don’t nobody say shit.) was hating tremendously. Katt does alotta stand up, but he’s acting like he doesn’t have some of the most iconic movie roles in black cinema to date. And he’s still getting movie and TV work. He had a part in Atlanta. What has he been in that anybody cares about. Dude is yapping.
he really shouldn’t have mentioned the players club because there’s a scene that really doesn’t even imply it it happens and the woman dies because of it. Terrible point to bring up if he’s trying to help his case shouldn’t of even made the video tbh
Nah I feel your point you was making he shouldn't have even bought up the sa shit at all whether it's implied or it actually happened on screen because playas club had multiple scenes of sa
For some reason in that whole rap, Luda did not say once that Katt lied about him not having a fro in 2fast2furious. Except he does have a fro and burns... tf I can't even begin to fathom what kinda timing Luda on. Like is he a voyeur and his kink is gluing a whole head and side burn combo worth of someone else's hair to your dome, then showing up to film?? 😅😅😅 I went back and watched it, it looks super fake, but it's literally not a part of the movie...
The Lord in heaven is awaiting a contractor to install bariatric support on the lift up to Heaven, demand for good work is high, so we looking at a construction delay issue.
5:51 bc cube has to play the Hollywood game. He’s old enough now, why would he derail his career in movies /Hollywood just to talk about drama shit? Bc cube is cube, he probably gets the pass and is probably as real as he can be.
