►About the Game -
Waking up on your fishing boat after a night out at sea you realise it must be time to head on home, but the return journey is not as it seems.
Landing on a lonely island populated by only a lighthouse, you must uncover the mystery and find your escape from this vacant place.

Hey, i did the main character voice, you pretty much nailed the location of the accent, its my own accent, i'm from wigan, just outside of manchester. It was my first ever attempt at voice acting, seeing people like/love the voices is awesome and i'm glad everyones really liking the game, people go in expecting a generic horror game but then are surprised by it, i guess it still is a horror game, but more about the horrors of real life and tragedy. p.s there's still an easter and not a single person has found it yet, i'll drop a little hint as i want people to find it, it involves the radio. 😉

Thanks for playing man, the game jam is still running (ends 1st September), might be worth checking out the HPS1 itch page. Some really good looking stuff in the works from other people too! Also you're almost right with the accent... Even though you DID name every country up north... Myself and the voice actor are from Wigan

I really liked this. Even though the story was sad, it was done well. This just shows that even the simplest of games can have a huge impact on a player or a viewer( ex: me after watching this➡😭). Well done devs/dev.😁👍

Very, very glad you played this! I saw another playthrough, and thought it works wonderfully as an example of what I've become very fond of-- games that are like small, effective short stories. A very quietly sad, dignified one too, so happy to be able to listen to someone be moved by it. (Plus a few glimpses of humour too, such as the Dead Space reference.) (It's a good little ghost story too-- for me, I think, it wasn't one about a loop going on forever... at the last point we see the ghost, the first time around, he does disappear... and his girl does talk about it being time to leave. Who knows.)

Yeah I'd say the Yorkshire guess is probably pretty accurate as far as the accent goes. His voice reminds me of Morgoth's Review.

Poor Jessie. Losing her mum, then her dad to grief, it was too much for her. Very sad story, but nicely told. Too bad there wasn't a way to end the cycle.

On the one hand it's another "bad dad" purgatory horror game. On the other hand, it's a better than average version that reminds you a bit of why that trope exists.

only one thing that could make this better is a hidden ending where you help him break the cycle as i find a good horror game has the chance for a happy ending it makes those bad endings just the more horrorfying as something could have been done but was failed

When it comes to the Dead Space remake I've seen comments stating how if wasn't EA doing it they'd be excited for it. I have to agree, I hope they do it justice but how often has EA fucked up and killed franchises? I'm hoping but not holding my breath CJU, regardless I'll be watching you play it.
