Ich habe sehr selten von diesem Lied so eine schöne Version gehört. Das berührt mich richtig im Herzen. Das Lied ist sowieso im allgemeinen ein wunderschönes tolles gefühlvolles Lied. Wer stimmt mir zu.

This songs means a lot to me, my dad died of Leukemia he became blind before he died, he knew I was with him at his bedside. They sang this song in Choir and the verse hit me so hard " I was blind, now I see" 3 years later I joined the Choir, I am in choir since 25 years now. God bless you all Kelly Family you are all an inspiration.

When I was young I - in the 90ies - did not like the Kelly's but now I must confess they wrote so many masterpieces- And now I say they are the "Carter Family or Mamas&Papas of the 90ies". When I was much younger- about 4 or 5 - I've watched the Kellys playing in the subway stations in Frankfurt. They WILL ALWAYS be one of the most famous families! They are really great. THANKS FOR THE GOOD MUSIC!

Just before their mother died she asked them to keep singing and by the mid 90's they were filling stadiums. It is wonderfully refreshing to see rock music devoid of the sleaze that usually accompanies it. I love this group.

The destiny of this family....is more then amazing. Just pure love.

HI Guys I am the Girl singing with the Accordion and am part of this singing Family, this is one of our first LIVE TV Perfomances fully Live and an entire Concert right on live air without any helping hand from any external Musician here either. Just simply voices and an Accordion a Guitar and a Bombo kelly Family at its purist in those times,I have been watching your reactions to this Video for at least five years now, and read loads what your writing here as well, as far as I am concerned we were all emotional on that day because we were one of the first artist from the West to be able to sing in Eastern Germany and this with a fully live production Eastern German TV channel,this was the end of the Live TV Concert and so we were extremely emotional since we could sense that we had sort of written Musical History here in Eastern Germany right after the fall of the wall,the crowd was emotional we were too since we had finished a full Live TV show in Estern Germany right after the fall, emotions were simply high in the air at those times in Eastern Germany everywhere,we had achieved our first Live TV show ever in one take ,with no problems what so ever, it was Magical and this was the end of that Concert, great crew,we just gave all we had at the end and you can see and hear it here no more and no less ,and by the way for those who want to know about the dress of my Father when the Mother died he decided to wear his Mapa dress since he kind of became the Mother and Father for the little ones meaning Angelo,Maite,Barby and Paddy,its his Mapa dress you see here,he had a Humor about it,and he loved to consider himself a Celtic Druid( Thats his Irish side coming through with a bit of Joke also), dont take it too serious since he never took himself too serious either Papa Dan!! But at the end thank you for sharing and looking at this Video so many times because its the Music that speaks for us.and let the Voices speak for themselves and the feelings because this is Music at its best. 🇧🇷 Kathy seeing you playing this accordion so masterfully , I cant help but recognise how huge you were , helping your father as a ( older ) sister to take Care of your younger brothers after your beloved mother left them so young to live with GOD , surely must be with your father and sister and our dear dancer Barby Kelly who left us now in the beginning of the year 2021 , when then in the past her mother very young mother about to leave us , left a request for you to continue singing .

So touching... Brings me to tears, everytime I watch this. Paddy is crying out for his mum... So sad...

God has given a gift to the world in this wonderful family!

I lost my Wife to cancer six months ago after a year long battle with lymphoma, this was her favourite song and we sang it at her funeral. To see this family singing so beautifully with tears streaming down their faces for their lost Mum, I cried, and I had to see it again, and I cried some more, They deserved their standing ovation

I used to listen to these guys daily, but havent for nearly a year just getting rehooked. I loved their story, the Dad takes his kids to spain, meets his new wife Babs and has another few kids, they travel europe, get robbed and end up singing for money and then turn into what we see here! great story they should write their story into a book i'd buy it! Human preserverence and spirit at the max :)

Keep on singing Kelly clan, its a blessing to all, even those who don't thinks so, the message of music moves the soul of stone.

Es gibt nichts schlimmeres als die Tatsache eine Mutter zu verlieren die uns geboren hat . Das Paddy weinte zu diesem Lied ist verständlich zumal dieses Lied auf ihrer Beerdigung gesungen wurde und zwar von den eigenen Kindern . Mir tut das Herz weh wenn ich meine Mutter verlieren würde !!!!

This is the first time I have ever heard of The Kelly Family. The song Fell In Love With an Alien was on a website that I follow called Hollow Earth Network and I "Fell in love" with their music instantly! I live in the US and I don't remember hearing of them before. Amazing!

These are brothers and sisters and their beloved father. Jimmy Joey Patricia Barby Maitte Angelo Patrick Kathy and Johnny with father Daniel. (not Santa Claus.)Their mother died of cancer and this was her favored song. I can see Angelo, he might be 5 yrs old. After her death, they stopped singing for 2 years. And sing their mothers favorite song...of course he breaks in tears

I don't know why people tend to tear the Kelly family to pieces, they are all very talented people and would not have nade it so high in Germany if they didn't have the talent, they know how to mesmerise the crowds and they sing with a lot of feeling. Sure a lot of people seem to think they dress in rags but can't see that they are individualists, that they don't just follow the crowd and really do their own thing. I've seen them singing live and each one of them plays various instruments.

ich habe sie in Heide bei Büsum auf dem Marktplatz, bevor sie groß raus kamen gesehen und ich muss gestehen, das ich fast jeden Tag auf dem Marktplatz war, die Nordsee hatte mich nicht mehr interessiert.
