Staff at Elevation: My husband texted me the link to listen to the "Ghosted" message and said I needed to listen to it. I downloaded it and headed out the door to listen to it as I drove around running errands. I got about 10 minutes into it and said, "nope, nope, nope," and turned it off. I need to be sitting at a table/desk with my journal taking a million notes. I needed this sermon so bad!!! 🥰

I am going through a challenging season right now and the Holy Spirit says to me, "You letting your neighbour into your apartment when you let him into your mind." My new neighbour has been intimidating me since he moved in above me. I stumble (I say that lightly) on this sermon, Pastor Steven and you said one phrase that is almost word for word what the Holy Spirit said to me 5 days ago. This sermon was shared 4 years ago. I am watching this on 14th June 2024. This has happens often and it is only your sermons that I receive these confirmations. One day, I will shake you warmly by the hand or give you a big hug! Because if they made me mad and if they put me in a bad mood then I'm stuck. There's nothing I can do. If traffic put me in a bad mood, if my job put me in a bad mood. See it's in our inner words. We don't want to take ownership and responsibility then we won't be able to guard our heart. Because we've given someone else the key to our joy. Therefore situations and people cannot make me and did not make me. An outside experience won't make me change who I am to such a degree, to any degree that it changes my heart. God has the key to my heart. You can't guard what you don't own. So I'm guarding my heart because I own it whoop whoop 🎉🙌👏😄

My children and I started attending Elevation Greensboro after watching you online for a while. September 2019 my 16 yr old son was shot with an AR15 assault rifle mistaken for someone else. As u can imagine I was broken but I stood strong and told Satan YOU WILL NOT TAKE MY SON'S LIFE! MY son lives today! I brought him to Elevation after he was released from the hospital. He couldn't walk. During worship we were singing I see a victory, my son stood up and allowed the spirit of the Lord to fall down on him! My children love Elevation!!! My nieces and nephew now come with us every Sunday. Continue to do what you do for God. You make a difference!!

The way your mind feels is as a result of what you concentrate on. See the storm was raging before Peter got out of the boat ⛵ and whilst he was walking towards Jesus on water and transending the elements so he went from a boat that was about to drown him towards a saviour who can sustain him, he remembers he is not supposed to be able to do this because the stormnhad been raging before he God out of the boat and the storm kep raging when he got out if the boat so the circumstance didn't change but when Peter broke his concentration. When you let things brake your concentration on the things God has given you to be greatful for, andbwhen you let life break your concentration, your soul will always sink beneath the surface. I thank God for anointing Pastor Furtick. As a person who grew up in a Christian home, I felt that I was very familiar with the Bible. But I also knew I had slowly become somewhat complacent with my faith. I eventually became very depressed and unhappy for years. Steven Furtick has reopened my eyes and has opened my heart to Gods Word again. I appreciate and understand it better than I ever have before. As an addictions counselor, this IS my wheelhouse. So, I wanted to say the very most important thing you must know to overcome your emotions is... Purity. You must root out all Resentment and unforgiveness!! Sit quietly before God and ask Him to reveal to you your own Stumbling Blocks. Resentment is something you hold in your 'Heart'. And it keeps you separated from God. It also makes you weak with regard to your emotions and instincts. Now I'll listen to what you've got to say.
