@@kellygervais3440 So many of these people treat the horse like a big toy or a pony at a petting zoo. They're so disrespectful and clueless! These mounted guards are beyond patient. People trying to hold the horse's rein are the absolute worst. These horses are not toys there to amuse people, they should not be touched without permission, the same as not petting someone's service dog without permission.
How many time does that woman need to touch the horse?! It’s time people were stopped from doing this, it pisses me off, so can’t imagine what it’s like for them.
If the horse is repeatedly throwing your hand off of him, then he does not want you to touch him. He allowed others to rub his nose and face with no problem, but he tossed Miss Red Nails' hands off himself every time.
Exactly! Besides she got to give the horse a pat in the beginning. She should have been happy with that. And if she wanted to get a picture, she should have done like the granddad with his two grandchildren who stood to the side a little distance away. A side photo and a small pat is more than enough.
@@Ace-ke7fq Good point, Ive always seen horses as big dogs, they do need that socialisation aspect in their lives but I think, watching these videos, its too much....there must be a good valid reason why the Barracks staff allow all the constant petting.
This would never be allowed in Canada with the Mounties and their dogs. I was there one time on piste and a mountie cop was present with his dog, I went over to pet him and was shouted straight down. Those mountie dogs are not socialised at all and are there for one purpose which is to patrol with their Master Mountie. I find this quite heinous and cruel given the fact that on ski slopes its covered with people so why not make the dogs more social, its not as though so much crime goes on the piste ffs. Maybe the Royal family want their horses to interact with the public this way and its ok??
I feel they have made a mockery of the kingsguard by allowing them to be treated as Disney characters and be surrounded by a bunch of idiots touching them!! 🤬
NOT DOGS CHANCE. NEED CHAINS/ ROPES TO KEEP THEM AT A DISTANCE. TOMB OF THE UNKNOWN SOLDIER , U.S.A. 50/60 ft AWAY IF NOT MORE. STEP OVER CHAINS, YOU HAVE A RIFLE DIRECTED AT YOU.🇬🇧🏴🏴
Jeebers, with talons like hers and the way she was trying to pat him so close to his eyes whilst he was moving his head about, it’s a wonder she didn’t take his eye out!
So many women with long filthy talons and peoples dirty hands all over those horses Im getting sick of seeing it now, on my next trip down I will not go near there I will be far too wound up, its no longer an enjoyable experience. Touching the horses has got to stop!!! Its disgraceful and unhygenic to the horse.
@@rachelcoisnacoillte6023 ..I agree, I hate them, plus, how can anyone do anything with nails that long? Ordinary household chores or gardening must be impossible
Can I get a job there as the 'Royal Idiot Slapper'? I've always wanted to try slapping some sense into a stupid person. i've never actually done it, but I sure have wanted to a few times! And as a person with all that pent-up desire to do the job, I think I'd be an excellent choice for that position.
It would be good if all the Guards backed their horses into the box, as soon as tourists become too much for the horses, or just too crowded and chaotic. I wonder if Guards ever read these comments on RU-vid.
@@tobytaylor2154 great lm glad the Guards do read all comments, the Guards must get absolutely fed up with all.. l do hope New notification board does go up for ALL to see...
@@susanlongyear1229 lol, I meant they back their horses into their box. But doing what this guard done here is just a reminder for everyone there not to get to close and it's a large animal and not a toy. It has always worked, notice that crowd will then give more space, until they move off and a new lot of idiots come along. I've seen it get worse over the last 50yrs.
@@priscillaroberts7945 You obviously weren't brought up in the countryside otherwise you'd know that horses like dogs in general love attention..They're animals not objects.
Mine dog would eat it up. As for the horses, at least one of them would be asking, what'd ya bring me? I KNOW you have something good in your bag, lemme find it.
@@anndenovan9026 There is no verification that the Horse is subjected to the publics' endless "in their face " nonsense for only 1 hour. If it means that the RF rakes in more monetarily they would leave them there for hours without any thought about it whatsoever.
The lady with the pink nails, is doing exactly what the other Karen was doing. Would be nice to have a baracade around the horse and guard to keep people back.
Far too dangerous to put any type of barrier up in front of the horse. If the horse bolted out which occasionally happens both the horse and Guard could be seriously hurt.
Karen has been told to leave by Police and soldiers. Trouble is she doesn’t listen like other tourists do. She moves away from horse but then is right back to annoy
It seems that once one starts everyone has to join in. The horse is a sentient being not a plaything. How would they like it if a crowd of people started mauling their face non-stop. SMH
Just like the poor Troopers, the horses get absolutely miffed of with being stroked and touched and mauled all the time, they just want to do their Guard Stag then go get a drink and some piece and quiet, they are not there just for the entertainment of the public, they are actual Soldiers doing their daily duties, and Ceremonial Guard is part of them duties. RESPECT THEM. these are the people you rely on helping you in Floods, any Strikes of Emergency Services or anything else where they get thrown into to help the Public.. God Bless our forces.
Dirty Germ filled hands on his face! It just has to stop. When we walk our male GSD WE DO NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO APPROACH, let alone touch. He is loved and cherished and is no different than the Guard’s horses. People respect our space as he is quite daunting to look at.
I live in the States, and highly doubt that I'll ever go to England. I have, on a few occasions seen mounted police. And I've gone up to them to see the horse. But, I have ALWAYS asked if it's okay to interact with the horse. After all, they're both working.
This woman is unbelievable! Clearly the horse doesn't want her to touch him. As long as she got good pics, didn't care about the poor horse. I wonder how the guard got the horse to do that?
It should be apparent the horse does not care for her trying to stick her bright red pointed knives in his eyes.....at least I am sure that is the way he perceives it to be.
It was about time! That horse was crowded once again. Giving a restriction to the public means to care about their safety: this is not a toy poodle, you are constantly petting a huge horse that potentially can kick you or bite your arms and face off if it gets too nervous and feels threatened!
Good for the Guard that woman had no love or interest for that horse, but rather simply stupid pictures for their IG’s account. Wonderfully executed by this guard. It really bothers me that these horses are faces with constant touching and most of them are too afraid to touch them and they risks on poking the horse’s eyes like the other woman did the other they. The poor horse started acting out after she hit him. That stupid woman knew that the Guard was unhappy with her because he stared at her and she knew it and went back to whomever was taking all of her stupid pictures.
I can see the point in people stroking the horses but when you get someone hogging them it's not right. Horses like most animals enjoy the attention and people need to remember that there's still a lot in society who've never seen one before up close and i know that from spending ten years living and working in london.
I feel sorry for the guards who have to put up with so much rude inconsiderate behavior by all these tourists, who feel entitled to touch these working animals like it's a petting zoo. They can only follow what policy is set and it seems pretty loose. Why don't they just cord it off and let people take all the stupid selfies they want. No need to touch the horses. It's hard to watch so much selfishness. Seriously look... take a pic...and move on. I'd like to see some of that biting and kicking!
Ffs lady, the horse is military-trained, not a horse at a petting zoo! If I was the Guard, I would have pressed the Emrgency button, and called the police to move her along.
