So I got: chamomile (careful if allergic to asters), tulsi, stinging nettles, echinacea (not for long term use), elder flower and elderberries (good for pollinators), 3 mints (catmint/catnip, peppermint and spearmint) could be too strong for some people, mullein (careful of breathing it in) (tea, or smoke) it's an expectorant, oat straw (avena sativa) (milky stage tincture or tea), skullcap (for sleep), valerian (knocks you out), lemon balm (easy to grow, good for anxiety, lift spirits, helps with psychosomatic symptoms), yarrow (stops bleeding), marshmallow root (helps with gut health)/broad plantain (good for gut health). Food uses for rosemary, thyme, garlic, oregano, hibiscus, rose, lavender. More colors in food, the better (eat the rainbow). This is not an exhaustive list. Please consult with your doctor if allergic or taking medications, and research each individual herb to see if it would work for you. Stop taking if you are experiencing adverse reactions.

It was really nice of you to take the time to type all this. I would like to add: I believe broad leaf and narrow leaf plantain have pretty much the same medicinal values. I use them interchangeably. If what's growing in your area is narrow leaf, grab that. You'll just need more leaves because they're smaller.

Be very careful with skullcap. It’s a powerful herb that should be taken with the mentality “less is more” just like with poke root which can pull tumors out of the body in small does but larger doses can be fatal they say

Can you do a show about ‘Throw It Out’ How to tell when herbs/teas/remedies are spent/too old/needing to be swapped out for fresh... color, age, ‘best by date’, etc. and ‘when in doubt, throw it out’? I made an herbal medicine first aid Kit and then never needed it until many of the remedies were out dated 😔😢. I reminded myself that that was a good thing 😅😂 It was hard to throw away all that work 😉 Thanks for sharing 💝

speaking of mullein. I processed my leaves just this week and got the chest and throat effect. I had air dried the leaves for like 2 weeks the did the last moisture in the dehydrator. I had to take my dehydrator outside to finish the job. I basically medicated the entire house. hehehe. AND I've had my Dad add the dried leaves to his tabaco and it seems to help there too.

However, once I learned the benefits of it, it is a sweet smell to me, and I love it. Just like Tulsi. I have a spot that has flourished and I have over 20 plants. My neighbor started mowing and I had to go out there and harvest everything I could find. It was hard to get some of those roots but I left the mother plant and told the guy mowing to allow it to grow since they are bi-annual plants. It's the only plant that has developed flowers and seeds. I am going to plant it in a safer place to keep him from destroying all of it. I also heard that they use these plants for candles during the winter solstice. I have no idea what solstice is but I am here to learn. I love learning from y'all.

THIS is the one I’ve been waiting for!!!💫💫 Thanks So Much!!!! Can’t wait for part 2!❤❤ QUESTION - on the herbs that do clearing of systems - is it expected to feel crappy at first? Makes sense that if it’s clearing the toxins are moving through the body and make you feel yuck…. But sometimes I worry is it the clearing process or I’m I reacting in a bad way to it🤷🏻‍♀ is there a general time to give something a chance…. Like a couple of days - a week - before giving up on it? I’d rather know I’m going to feel like crap for 2 days then be so much better - than not try it. But need a guideline on for how long - research hasn’t brought even general knowledge. Thanks!!💚

I really love watching y'all ❤. How I started building my home apothecary is going to the local apothecary that has bulk herbs and each payday I give myself $10-$15 to buy herbs an ounce at a time. Within two months I had a really good collection started and the refill as needed. An ounce of most herbs all but fill a pint size jar some like mullein almost filled a qt jar. So your starting out with an amount that is useful. This year I have purchased many seeds and will be growing many of my own herbs, which I'm really excited about. God bless keep up they amazing job y'all are doing.

I love yarrow but had never used it for bleeding. Well I was grabbing camping gear out of the closet and noticed blood everywhere - turns out a camping knife had fallen out of its sheath and I had cut the end of my finger off. So one handed I grabbed the yarrow capsules, opened one up and dumped the powder on a towel, shoved my bleeding profusely finger into the middle of the yarrow and wrapped it all up holding gentle pressure since it was cut her not powdered. After 10 minutes it wasn’t hurting so I carefully looked in the towel - no more bleeding. I gave it a few more minutes then rinsed it - all the yarrow came away and I could see the sliced off end but no blood and no pain- none at all. It healed quickly with no further pain or bleeding even when I hit it - that hurt a bit lol. So I keep yarrow always in my kitchen and home.

I am so appreciative to find these two ladies. Their videos have inspired me to finally start digging into my herbal medicine, making more herbal remedies, and expanding on my knowledge of herbs. I'm so excited to be going to the next stage out of just teas and grow, harvest and process my own herbs via my own garden ❤ Im going to start a journal to keep a record of how herbs are helping me. Also, cooking with herbs have made me a better home cook and enjoy it more!❤

I have asthma and I smoke mullein when I'm having trouble. It feels so good in my lungs and clears everything out. Amazing plant!
