The Jazz are the stealers of the NBA. Content to be the 5 seed in every playoffs for 30 years. Can't even tank right during an obvious tank season (Wembe). I hate my fucking team.
What is this total Randle erasure? They talk like a couple of casuals. Randle is 2x all nba and the stats support that our offense is much better with him. He is definitely still our second option unless he gets traded
@@MrOctober44 for sure I'm thinking role change. As number 2 eh but they were sick with OG can't imagine they won't be awesome w bridges. Randle gotta be healthy tho biggest red flag
In 5 years, Suns will trade 10 first round picks for Ant or Shai and not a single person in the media will bat an eye. In a league full of WR personalities, nothing will ever make sense.
Because in his absence the Knicks seemed to play at a higher level. He’s a player whose been really bad in the playoffs and will demand way too much of the ball in a team that has a much better ball dominant player than him already.
An immediate sign of bad NBA analysis is comparing it to the 52 man roster of an NFL team. Like, no shit an NFL team isn't one player away. Meanwhile, a couple low key mid season moves vaulted the Mavs from middle of pack to the Finals.
"Chug some reality juice." What was Dallas' reality juice a year ago after finishing 11th in the West? Bill wasn't putting them in the list of 5-8 contenders, yet they made the Finals. Pretty much negates this point.
There are five seed that got smoked in the finals. It's not exactly the most convincing case study in the history of the NBA. They lose in the first or second round next year it will be completely forgotten
Simmons is wrong about how teams aren't just "a few moves away". The Mavs were the the 5th seed this year, making it because they tanked last year to get Lively, then at the deadline traded for Gafford and Washington. The Celtics finally won the finals this year after making the moves to get KP and Holiday Last season the Heat made the finals as an 8th seed after bringing in Lowry, the Lakers made it as 7th seed to the WCF after making those midseason trades. The Nuggets finally won after doing a trade to get KCP.
@@briankrosky3567Russilo is so much better of an analyst. Simmons is a straight up fan boy who is always taking the most hyperbolic bait & just chomping down on it bc all he really cares is ranking stuff and comparing it to the 3 movies he's seen.
lol I was just creating that scenario in my head. The Nets draft the white KD and are perfectly positioned in 2030 when the Celtics/Knicks/Bucks/76ers are all done with their contending timelines
How tf is Dallas run compared with like Miami being trash and somehow making it, the mavs have one of the best players in the world a team only been together for couple months are super young , like what??
Both have them said on the pod before that they havent been paying attention to the draft as much this yr bc its a super weak class. But classoc bill w the shitty video titles 😂
I don’t get how Dallas not considered a legit contender!? They just handled timberwolves and okc, fairly easily the two teams you have above them . Make it make sense . So obvious this whole year people still don’t watch Dallas
As a Sixers and Villanova fan, I was joking about the Knicks adding Bridges, and now its a reality. Almost my entire favorite college team playing for my most hated pro team... it sucks
I've been wondering about this actually. I'm not super familiar with the NE but I assumed there was friendly beef between NY and Philadelphia And now the Knicks have the team the 76ers should have 😂 It's pretty 😬 You can't even assemble like a st John's superteam in retaliation bc there isn't one You could maybe go get Donovan Mitchell and KAT, some NY dudes who seem to want to be Knicks... Get those guys and eliminate the Knicks. I think that's your only path to true revenge
@@slobberkissintl3548 My only hope is one day, but probably when he's past his prime, Brunson signs with the Sixers. But for now, it's just a low-key nightmare. And I have to hear about all the time. But the Knicks being the Knicks, they won't win the whole thing. And that's a relief.
Is Julius Randle the most disrespected NBA star of all times ??? You guys don‘t even bother critiquing him. You flat out ignore that he exists. A 3xAll Star, 2xAll NBA that survived the NYC rollercoaster for 5 yrs. It s unheard of and outrageous. I m used to the Markannen stuff. A player that did nothing in the NBA, except playing well in a pressure free environment where winning isn‘t a must, but this right here takes it to another level. I liked Bridges before the draft and followed his career a bit. He failed for Brooklyn. A team that nobody actually cares about in the NY market and you not only put him higher than Randle, you ignore him and probably view him as a 75-100 player. That is CRAZY !!! Porzingis has a perfect skillset (when healthy) to fit with the Celtics (and probably other teams), sure. Is he a better basketball player ?? HELL NO ! I love and respect Holiday. If the Knicks got him instead of Randle, would the Knicks have the same winning record with Holiday as the firsr option ? Big maybe imo White love players like him. Zero hate. Could he be a number 1 option and THE guy for a major market team. C‘mon that s a NO ! You can like or not like Randle and his game, but not having him as a 24-40 player is totally ignorant and disrespect. How can Celtics role players (that are superb in their role) be higher on the best player list than a player that carried the maybe most difficult franchise in pro sport ?!
Draft pick value has gone down greatly. Mostly because of the small sample size and wear and tear on young athletes. Utah and OKC aren’t going to have 15 starters, so it’s pointless to have so many picks unless you include them for a rental on a superstar that doesn’t want to extend for your team to go all-in. Knicks have a window, their selections wouldn’t have panned out as well as Mikal has proven to be, you’d have to overpay to win the trade against shit teams that could offer as much or more and make use of the soft East.
As usual Bill starts by stealing my 'Hot Take'(Nets only traded Bridges because Hou deal was done) but then stupidly questions why the Nets are in NY if they are going to tank & rebuild? If they didn't do this he would've killed the Nets for not tanking.
Bill, just because you hate Kyrie, doesn't mean that no one should ever root for the Nets. Will i watch a bunch of Nets game next year? Probably not, but at least they have a plan and control their own destiny.
There are few teams in the nba today that actually have a immediate plan and actually control their destiny. Most are controlled by wether their star players decides to stay and leave and or wether they get lucky in the draft.
@@earam88That's true. Which is what is both scary and exciting with the NBA. A team can go from bad to contender or vice versa in a day. The Nets are the perfect example. They were a middling team, then added Kyrie and Durant, became an instant contender then in one week and two trades they became celler dwellers.
@@prod.snqwfall1347Typical RU-vid comment. I never actually said what I thought about Kyrie. I was commenting on Simmons hatred for the Nets since the moment they traded for Kyrie. I always appreciate a complete stranger explaining/telling me how much of a fan I am.
Bridges trade made me think of the Gordon Ramsey meme 😂 Wolves trade 4 picks, expiring deals and Kessler for a first ballot HOF: YOU FUCKING DONKEY!! Knicks trade 5 picks for a non-all star 3D wing: oh dear oh dear gorgeous 😂😂😂😂
The Scotty Barnes extension is for 5y/225M$, not 270$. I love you Bill but that's just bad reporting. He'd need to make all-NBA next year for it to reach 270 and even we Raptor fans don't think there's a chance in hell that happens.
St. Louis Nets? I know there’s a project to rebuild the original Penn Station which now houses the Barclays Center that the Nets play in. If the nets leave they can go ahead with that plan and also St. Louis needs an NBA team. You can’t tell me that a new stadium and area around it on the north side of the city on the riverfront there wouldn’t make more money than the Bucks do in Milwaukee or Grizzlies in Memphis. And it has potential to do better than even bigger cities because sports is all STL has.
Well considering with less talent those role players were good enough for 2nd in the east I’d say that’s pretty damn good…also acting like 20 pts a game on solid shooting splits, with scoring versatility and high level defense is a role player is stupid…its not either you’re an all nba guy or a role player idk when this narrative started…Derek jones jr is a role player, Kevon looney is a role player, Steve Novak was a role player….mikal bridges is a very good player
Y'all are 100% right about the bridges trade not going down without the rockets. One of our beat reporters Jackson Gatlin confirmed as much in his pod after the trade but before the draft started
I really think the Knicks should trade Randle for 1-2 great bench pieces and a 1-2 picks. Their most balanced lineup is Brunson, Devo, Bridges, OG, Mitch with a bench of Hart/McBride/Sims/rookie from tonight's draft/bench piece from Randle trade. Starting Randle and a big man will lead to shooting problems. Also, getting draft picks from a Randle trade enables the Knicks to make a move next summer if it doesn't work this season (Giannis?)
Both the Nets and the Clippers made HUGE MISTAKES, CREATING THEIR OWN expensive Arenas, in LA & NY... Imagine a world where it's the Las Vegas Nets and the Former Clippers now the Seattle Supersonics 2.0.. maybe the Nets should move to Connecticut
They didn’t make a mistake at all. You know these arenas hold events outside of basketball right? Barclays center been one of the top grossing revenue arenas in the league if not the most since creation 😂
I will not stand for this Indiana disrespect. The best offense in basketball isn’t going anywhere and it will only get better. Tyrese Haliburton was not healthy at ALL. Look at his DRIVING AND FINISHING STATS post injury and pre. It was a huge part of his game that opened up so many things….. until it vanished. Pacers still made ECF and was BOSTONS TOUGHEST OPPONENT EASILY. No Mathurin either who literally is on the brink of a breakout. Are you forgetting NEMBHARD who was more of a threat vs Boston than KYRIE???? Jarace Walker waiting in the wings to be unleashed. I cannot stand this disrespect INDIANA HAS DONE MORE THAN NY AND PHILLY RESULTS WISE
Jokic, Embiid, Giannis, Luka, Ant, Shai, Steph, Tatum, Brown, Ja, Booker, Lebron, Mitchell, and possibly Butler are all ahead of Durant. Glad I could help.
