♦️It’s surprising that you guys didn’t feel the same way regarding S.P. ex wife compared to Mary J. Even though both women are divorced due to their spouse cheating , one is responsible for paying the cheater, while the other is receiving compensation from the cheater. Some of you thought it was fair that Mary J had to pay because she thought it was WACK for men to receive alimony. When an actuality she was stating that it’s WACK to have to pay the man that cheated on her alimony. OR men that cheat in general. Interesting that there was a switch up. I’d love to hear why. ♦️

Round of applause men!!! Things got a tad heated, and the intermission was needed. You all did a wonderful job smoothing things over. Trill, you were going in today. Plenty of valid points were stated. However, in my opinion, life is based on one's mindset. If one's back is up against the wall and they have tried all resources that they know of and it isn't working. It's a higher chance of them resulting in criminal activities. I THINK that's what Smooth was basically saying. (I need this $ now, so I am going to take my chances. Otis and Kenny, the 2 of you had valid points as well. However, today, you were holding the fort down, keeping the peace. Either way, great podcast. Agree to disagree while giving the viewers a brain note on how they possibly can handle/correct a situation. Just my spin ✌🏾

Trill please don't let the success go to your head fam. Just because you have a successful podcast doesn't mean success comes easy to others. People started podcasts just like you and it didn't pan out for them. People started businesses just like you and it didn't pan out. Sometimes you can work hard and the outcome doesn't come out the same, please be mindful of that. Don't devalue people's struggles don't look down on people thinking that they're lazy or unmotivated because they took The only viable opportunity that they thought was available to them. We have to be mindful about these conversations especially when we look at things in hindsight. Also the downfall of the Black Panthers was more than just some greedy leaders.
@jayc5756
@jayc5756 Год назад
Exactly. Hindsight is 20/20. I agree. Sometimes ppl look at things from their perspective...their mindset...in this case, his 2023 mindset putting him back then...but that's not how it works. I get he want us to take responsibility and accountability...but 2 things can be true. Some are lazy...but some of us have really worked very hard to build something...but it didn't pan out as we thought. I took that blow to my gut yet again yesterday. So yeah, I Totally Understand what you're saying.
@BlickyWhite
@BlickyWhite Год назад
Where did he ever say it was easy? He spoke on the reality of consequences after making decisions. Bro never said success was easy he actually spoke on how difficult it is but the reward is and was bigger to him than dealing with the negative consequences of taking the easy way out. Everything in life is easier said than done, but I know a lot of people that don't even try. Just the idea of applying themselves and giving 100% kills people's motivation alone. Especially in 2023 in this generation, as a person in my mid 20s I witness my peers choose what's cool, what's popular, what they seen their peers do, and what social media says do over authenticity, innovation, and hard work.
@BlickyWhite
@BlickyWhite Год назад
@@jayc5756 I understand working hard and it not panning out but how do we still make excuses for making decisions for quick financial gain or material satisfaction, that could land us dead or somewhere that takes us away from our families for years at a time? Regarding the Dr. Umar topic, I agreed with him - and I rarely do. Ultimately, I saw both sides of the spectrum: systematic destruction and personal accountability. At some point in time, as much as we - as black people - have been placed in such a messed up predicament, the reality is that we can always find a way to do better for ourselves.

Trill can't speak on a time period that he didn't grow up in without doing the research. During the era he's talking about he said that black people should have done trade work, the issue is that a lot of black men were skilled in multiple trades but the white men joined together and told employers that they had to hire workers from their group. These were the first unions and if employers didn't work with them the unions would cause problems

Afterwards during teenage years a child should be with like parent because now parenting is based off shared experience, trial and tribulation, its very action based.

I want to say.. I agree with most things that are said on this podcast and in me agreeing that's why i always give the video a like to show support and share it. But I wanted to actually voice what i didn't agree with this time. I always appreciate a lot of the logic.. i was raised with my grandparents where there was a lot of logic and I'm a Capricorn. I love the little bit of playfulness i think it is a great balance lol! I say all that to say.. i didn't really agree when it came to the subject of lack of quality men and masculine women in the black community. In my opinion i ALWAYS say... black women and black women are to blame. But i actually agree with Dr. Umar this time and i hate to say the shit about the fact that men are the LEADERS and that holds true to every community. If the men are dysfunctional, lazy and not, as a whole, upstanding and hard working women what do you expect a community to be. I feel like every community understands this, as a whole, and that's why they're community's turn out way better because there's accountability. I also agree that the feminism shit was okay for a little but it gotten TOO out of hand and a lot of women especially black lost their got dam mind. But to essentially blame white folk for black men and black women's behaviors? I think that is the reason why the community, as a whole, is just in shambles because there's NO accountability. A white person didn't make Kim open her legs and a white person didn't make James recklessly have sex with a bunch of women and create single homes. If they both were more accountable on both ends? Then a lot of the problems wouldn't be. That's the behavior we practice and you can see it now and for generations before. We CANT blame white people for that. You see other sets of people who may have been dominated by a group, but they overcame that and kept their families in tack, and found ways to create their OWN opportunities etc. They're not begging the "white man" and honestly... that's why tribes, groups do.. if they see resources that will benefit their tribe or country you go to WAR for it AND MAY THE BEST MAN WIN. The whites one in that situation and SO BE IT. That is human nature. White people found niggas and the niggas over them SOLD other Africans to white people and white people were smart enough to get use out of the people that were sold to them. They're slaves in Africa and always have been and other Africans people owned them and still do but that's not talked about just like it relates today.. black people kill each other the most and others but the only thing that's talked about is if once in a blue moon a white person does it. So instead of blaming white folks why don't we blame your own people for first enslaving US in a country that was for US and them blame them for selling you to ANOTHER group of people. Shit slavery was more harsh in Africa you didn't get to have families etc. when the kings die all of the servants die. You can see that in the behavior in us now.. would you want a world where just niggas ran it? Come on we got to be honest about the true behaviors in every group. I say that to say... blaming white people gets old it sounds so WEAK and childish and lacks major accountability. What group of REAL men are going to cry about another group of man not helping them. GET OFF OUR ASSES AND WE CREATE OPPURTUNITES and even when others blacks do that or try to support blacks it' most of the time goes wrong IT IS US. If you cant make it in America with as much opportunities you can't make it anywhere. Now i will agree with how people been voting lately and the LAWLESSNESS that has been encouraged with all the coddling of thug ass niggas in the country has worsened our country. Programs, SOCIAL MEDIA and propaganda for years and people not doing their research about things they see.. (if you want to hide something from a nigga put it in a book) had everyone in their feelings voting a certain way making the country a mess but that's a whole other topic for another day. The way you guys talk and a lot of ya'lls beliefs which i have VERY SIMILAR ones yall are conservatives sounding but I don't believe ya'll are all the way there yet. It's like yall are 90% there but the other 10 is still there from how we all been brainwashed for years and years with the democratic ways of thinking/LIBERAL thinking/ VICTIM thinking. But when i hear yall talk yall don't talk like victims but this is the 10% of victim talk with the blaming the white man. Just like a lot of our grandparent's were republicans etc. because of the values they held... but they couldn't translate that with how they voted cause of the brainwashing of democrats is for BLACKS... republican's are the RACIST when in reality it is the COMPLETE opposite MALCOLM X TRIED TO TELL ALL OF US AND THE BLACK MAN KILLED HIM SMH.-JJ

They weren’t willing to let their families die and the law wasn’t going to do anything because then they would’ve been snitching and would’ve been killed anyone. Sucks but it was real for them.

Technically they shouldn't be able to put you in jail for a debt anyway.

Not all two-parent households are good for the children. If the parents are dysfunctional, guess how the child will come out.

50:07 yes it’s rough af out and at some point your patents can’t save you from everything. I was not prepared to deal with people because I had a very green view on the world due to my grams always being sweet and kind to even those who had wrong her and I never understood why she always said “Treat people how you want to be treated regardless of they treat you.” Toughest lesson I had to learn but she left don’t be a damn fool because a mf will f you over if you let or as Smuv would say if you acting like a sucka out here you will get licked! 😂😂

Slim, soooo men now know that they can go to jail for selling drugs and they still do it. Who fault is that? The government? The history is there and the same mistakes are being made by men... They still doing bids and leaving they kids, still making well known mistakes for money instead of doing door dash or paid surveys. Y'all have to stop making excuses or the kids gone see y'all podcast and start making excuses and that equals no change for the future.

Again no one said it was right but when u go back in history drugs were not illegal until it start affecting the white community then they made laws to try to CONTROL it not stop it...because we aren't the ones with planes or boats to go get the drugs...everything was a play...hell and it's still goes on to this day...JP Morgan got caught about 3 years ago with 1 billion dollars of UNCUT coke on a ship and it was washed under a rug...if that had been a ship owned by any black owned establishment that would've been on world news for months and alot of ppl would've went to jail...but what most ppl don't know about illegal drugs is...when u moving 100 pounds or more u need help from the government and the mob or whatever gang its coming from...and most of the time u gone get help from both because it's alot of money on the table....

The pattern is black men's woes are due to the system, black women's woes are due to individual choices. Remember that and everything you hear/see on these podcasts becomes a bit predictable.
