I really wish they showed just a tiny bit more of the choreo!! At once point, they all turn around and have a hand behind their back, and the lyrics says "who's a liar" and two members have their fingers crossed while the other three have their pinkies out like a promise. it's a little hint of storytelling hidden in the choreo that I love

the album is one of the most diverse and experimental albums ive heard in a while, you should listen to it for sure

The "I can't say this is better than Runaway but I can't say Runaway is better than this" is 100% accurate

one thing i noticed is that when hueningkai takes the selfies with the group, his camera only recognizes himself, yeonjun and beomgyu as people.

TXT is such a high quality group, they didn't come to play

One thing I really apreciate is how messy this mv is; they weren't afraid to get themselves dirty and get physical. A lot of Kpop is so clean and controlled that it's kinda boring sometimes

The mv storyline really made this song so engaging, txt really did that

i don’t wanna get attacked for this but i think txt has one of the most diverse discographies in the 4th gen. especially their bsides on these last two albums

When you mentioned that part of the choreo is them snapping their own necks, I was like "Oh, so that's why I found that particular move disturbing."

I feel that this story is about dealing with mental illness in a group of friends who end up hurting each other because they force themselves to "act normal". Playing with strawberries and tomatoes seems innocent till it eerily starts resembling blood. They suppress their struggles to the point that them playing around turns into them hurting each other. Yeonjun even realizes this at one point where he is about to throw a tomato at his friends but realizes that it looks like blood. If you notice, each member has a different behaviorism that ends up isolating them from their friend's group. Soobin displays anger when he can't take it anymore and goes from smiling to screaming. Taehyun always seems irritable, even when they're playing. Beomgyu turns violent and almost suffocates his friend with a blanket. Yeonjun just puts on a mask and Kai is almost always alone even when they are together. In the end, the act of "being okay" destroys their friendship and they end up isolating themselves from each other. They are all friends, they are all struggling but they don't understand each other.

Don't worry, PD. I saw that comment you made about the rookie awards too and I also see why some people felt offended, but at the same time, people DO take stuff a lot more serious on twitter. You can't say stuff like "oh, TXT are the best rookies/the best group" without having somebody say "ok but -this group- outsold them" or "no, because they just ride on privilege". Like, hyping up your fav artists isn't supposed to be this serious in my opinion. And I say this as a MOA and as an Atiny (and ARMY, moarmytinys raise!), I just took your Ateez comment as hyping them up, even if maybe not in the best taste, and to a certain degree I agree. I think that Ateez deserves the world, but I was happy because TXT also deserved it and it's just how it turned out. This rookie award is an accomplishment, but it won't define them in the years to come. It's themselves and their art that's gonna do that, so I don't get why people are still set up on that. Nobody needs to pick a side, just don't hate on anybody and do what you enjoy doing

Honestly when award season came I wanted nothing more then for there to be 2 winners of Rookie of the Year :/ TXT and ATEEZ BOTH deserved it so much, and ppl shouldn’t compare them bc they have very different styles. I feel like non-MOAs often forget that TXTs privilege, also comes with a mountain of struggle and hate. To me this mountain is also much taller than Big 3 rookies face because of how MASSIVE BTS became and still is AND because TXT is only the second group to come out of Bighit. So don’t forget while you’re saying things are being handed to them that they don’t deserve, that things they do deserve are also being taken away from them.

I feel like people are now talking about privilege bc of bts’ success... yet all groups from SM, YG and JYP have had it for years.

Regarding the kpop community, the word "rigged" is not accepted when it comes to achievements. It's a touchy concept especially when it comes to a group like txt who has been attacked multiple times.

The album is the best txt album, also sounds like they have a decade in the game, not a rookie album at ALL

This group would be successful in any K-POP agency they have talent great vocalist great dancers can Big Hit get some credit for really developing these young men it's only been a year and this group just keeps getting better in my eyes can't wait to see them 3 years from now

I am not a fan of TXT particularly, but the moment I heard the song my brain Blew Up and I've been listening to this on repeat for the past few days. And when I say "on repeat" I mean "3 hours long" on repeat.

My instant thought when I first heard this comeback was "Billie Eilish" vibes or "Melanie Martinez" vibes, it felt weirdly creepy and dramatic. Anyway, oh gosh, no way lmao. I was just thinking earlier if PD will do a reaction video on this immaculate MV and then he did!

This was such a good comeback. I don't Stan the boys, even though they're adorable, but I'm really considering after this comeback. The aesthetic in this is amazing. Everything was perfect in this comeback.

*17:05** omg yes, this shot. this shot, right here. even though, the whole mv literally gave me goosebumps from the beginning until the end, this shot is just fantastic. the way he was all playful and than, when he took a look at his hands with the tomato juice all over them looking like blood + the lyrics "once again I'm left alone" with the voice dramatically getting deeper and deeper while the camera shows the rest of the members, blankly looking at him without even moving + with the fire behind them and the house in total chaos. and than after, the camera coming back to him and him staring at it, with a complete dramatic, concerned and confused look, finally realizing that something was off + the transition to him whispering "save me"... wow. it gave me the chill i can't stop watching it, honestly*

They really go into depth and analyze practically everything and its meaning. they also analyze other groups' concepts and music videos as well. this mv has so much emotions in it. Can't you see me. we're best friends, together forever, why cant you see me hurting? the song is powerful both in meaning and just the musicality of it. but the mv just ramps everything up.

I saw someone on twitter describe txt's concept as "a song you sang as a child only to discover that it talks about plagues and tragedies" and honestly that describes them perfectly.

I've been a MOA since pre-debut but I'm not too invested into TXT, but my God, this comeback is amazing. This is my favorite TXT title track, heck it's my favorite track overall. Well done TXT, you always exceed my expectations, but this one is legendary in my books. I'll be even more excited for your next comeback!

It's so creepy and edgy and experimental I love it, I don't see such concept in Kpop often nowadays and from rookie groups. The video is so like disturbing with all these close up shots I love it. Well first I had no idea there was some drama on stan twitter because of them vs. ateez but please don't be discouraged! People claim things are rigged as a joke often and it's not meant to be disparaging. I think perhaps younger fans sometimes are so intense with their fandoms that they take it perhaps too seriously. Only one group can win awards and while they are nice to have that doesn't mean the groups who lose are any less deserving or talented. THAT SAID, this is such an interesting turn for the narrative and I'm super curious if there are more videos planned for this era. Maze in the Mirror was written by all the boys and produced by Beomgyu and I think would fit nicely into this storyline. I'm just glad they're charting well and can't wait for more!

Honestly, I thought this song was a lot catchier on first listen than Run Away-the line “can’t you see me” was stuck in my head from the start-but it’s no competition for me. Run Away is just so gorgeous and fulfilling. Can’t You See Me feels like teen angst, and I already have enough of that. I still like it, but it doesn’t really live up to my expectations for them.

I remember the tweet you are talking about. I remember being a little disappointed and sad, mostly because I remember so many people hating on TXT for literally doing nothing, and it felt like my favorite Kpop RU-vidr agreed. Like I respect people favorite some groups over others and we aren't going to agree on the same things, but talking shit about a group in order to hype up another is not something I find acceptable. So it did disappoint me, because with the timing and all it did feel like you said TXT didn't deserve the award. I think, I wrote, that TXT deserved it as well, can't really remember, but I kind of just ignored it back then, because I was so tired of dealing with people sitting on TXT, and you didn't actually mention them or say something shitty about them, so I was able to ignore it. Also you don't feel biased when you watch them, and give great compliments and critic fairly to all the artists. So I eventually didn't feel like you had a problem with TXT, so I just accepted that we were to disagree about who we wanted to win the award, and that is alright. Now with that out of the way, I really hope you will do a listening party of the album. The album is very experimental and I would love to hear your thoughts. I accidentally listened to it backwards, which I can't recommend because I couldn't remember any other songs since I had a hard time digesting Eternally, and I actually thought I didn't really like the album. But after a couple of hours, I listened to the other songs again and I realized I actually did like the songs after all. this song is growing on me. definitely not what i expected or "wanted" from them. i love how one can tell they absolutely matured just within a year. and even from comeback to comeback. there was a shift between "crown" to "run away" and now again one from "run away" to "can't you see me".

Idk if it’s just me, but towards the start of the video after they’ve just taken the gingerbread men out of the oven and there’s the shots of the flames in the oven getting higher, it looked like the room was a bit smoky in the background when they were on the sofa. It could just be my eyes being weird lol but if that’s what it is it’s a really good way to show that something done with good intentions (making the gingerbread) can cause things to slowly escalate without anyone noticing and then suddenly the house is on fire cause nobody noticed the warning signs (the smoke) that they left the oven on. Also I love how when the pink drink gets tipped over the next scene in the bedroom has a pinkish light or filter on it

Run Away has been my go-to TXT song since it came out, and while I did liked this song, I still liked Run Away more. Then I started listening to it more, and by the 4th or 5th listen, Can't You See Me just... I dunno, hit me hard? Probably because I actually turned on the captions to see the translation (I always turn them off for the first listen/viewing). (It was AWKWARD saying how much I related to the song to my friends, because what does that imply about them?) I think the earworm of this song is the whistle part, because it just stands out so much, as well as the English parts. It's become my favorite song by the boys at this point. I think I've watched every single music show performance, member cams included (I may be slightly obsessed at this point, whoops). The rest of the album is also great, I highly suggest a few listens (as it took me) to really absorb it all.

Thank you for translating the title!! Also defs agree with the comparison to Run Away. Run Away was so magical and beautiful, while also being catchy, but the grungy guitar and discordant parts of Can't You See Me are so powerful. I think the change in concept makes sense because it's showing how they've grown it. Run Away was joyful and about escaping with your friends while Can't You See Me? is about realising that your friends can't always be what you need/want them to be (sometimes they let you down and you feel totally alone/misunderstood). It makes sense for their age/age of their audience.
