There’s little info about this engine on the web, so I was guessing when I talked about the engine not being reliable because of not having pneumatic valves.

I think despite the unrealiability both Senna and Hakkinend would have preferred the v12, yet I know that Senna was already fed up of Mclaren team even because there was an italian engineer that he couldn't stand it

@@PimpSpeed Hi sir I can tell you further, in a 1992 Monza italian interview he said he was already thinking to retire from F1 (even because of Prost veto for him to join Williams). Then in the 1194 when his dream came true, the car was awful because of regulation changes (and the Williams cockpit room was much less than Mclaren car)

Nice video, you are correct on your facts. One addition: the Peugeot deal was also worth a lot of (sponsorship) money like free engines whilst the Lamborghini option was not.

The team didn’t want this engine, to the extent of putting full tanks on it and lying to the drivers about it. Dennis wanted the free Peugeot engines.

Great video keep it up shame they didn't use the Lamborghini engine some even say if McLaren used the Lamborghini engine senna might have staid at McLaren and maybe he would have been with his today

Indeed, Senna cost so much money in 93 as did Räikkönen in Lotus in 12&13. Dennis sacrified some of '94 development money to ensure the $1 million per race deal for Senna. Peugeot deal was necessary since they were short on cash. So Lamborghini missed target in 90 when they signed Lotus, '93 test was last chance.

Shame it nevet raced in the mc laren. Hakkinnen and Senna liked that engine but it was a bit old... Very nice video. U said it all.

ランボのエンジンよかったとセナが言ってたよね。でもロンがプジョーは無料だし、エンジニアにいってわざと重くしたりとか嫌がらせしてたみたい。性格わるい。セナはすぐにでも使いたかったと言ってた
