The Landlady Please do not view the excerpts on this site, as they do not show the full episode and are loaded with spoilers - especially the end! I cannot really say anymore, but given your superb critique and perspective of the short story, I cannot wait to see your reaction. I will add that this was originally known as ‘Roald Dahl's Tales of the Unexpected’ and based upon his eerie book of 16 short stories. I know you will love these, so do search for the book. He would actually sit in an armchair and present the episode, rather like Alfred Hitchcock and must have approved the dramatised ending. The episodes became a little crap after the 2nd series, but all those penned by him are worth watching. Please let us know which you prefer? After you have watched, I have my own Landlady story to tell. I hope another excellent video will be borne of your viewing.
