@@gorillagroddgaming You probably came from the cod fan base for saying BF1 is made for casuals.BF4 was good until people abused exploit mechanics and ruined others people games
Ik this is a troll comment, but it made me think about what TRULY makes a game immersive for me, and it ultimately comes down to good gameplay. A game, graphically, could look like theoretical doggy doo doo, yet still be super immersive since the gameplay sucks you in and makes you FEEL like you're in the game yourself, to some degree. Devs gotta understand that graphics are not THAT important when held up next to things like gameplay, audio, etc imo.
I remember the horse being the most op thing in the beta. My friend group still laughs at seeing a clip of a horse surviving a point blank tank shell. I miss those fun times, I want there to be fun times again 😭
The biggest by far biggest issue of bf1 was the visual recoil everything else pales in comparison to your sights just moving around randomly and you having to guess where the next bullet will go. Also the lack of of any aggressive movement options makes any game into a weird semi camp fest where your success depends on how well you can judge when to move rather than any meaningful skill.
Imo Battlefield 1's reveal trailer is the best videogame trailer ever. I don't think there's any trailer that created as much hype as it. The game was everywhere in the gaming world at the time.
Only thing I disagree on is the Bayonet charge. Yes it was dopey and it did not enhance gameplay in a competitive way, but it enhanced it in a goof around fun way for me. Sometimes you just need something dumb for the sake of having fun and i dont think it ruined the game or made it unplayable in a competitive way
As a sniper main in bf1, i can say i have never played according to the sweet spot, and yes, all those sweet spot kills were by complete chance Also, pro tip: if u hate snipers, m1917 telescopic lmg. Just another sniper but with 250 bullets and can suppress
I think the maps were built around the movement though. Like there's so much cover and different roots that you can still be aggressive with smart positioning. In BFV and 2024 the only thing you have to take advantage off is movement because almost all maps are open fields with no cover.
The worst thing about BF1 was that the rentable servers on Playstation never worked. Nobody ever joined on private servers. That's why my friends and I stopped playing before the first DLC. Battlefield without private servers is rubbish.
Good luck Enders. I had three interviews with one company. On the last one they said theyd call me back in two days. They wound up calling me back a month later with the offer. Dont give up hope
Been trying to play BF1 lately on PC-I’m in NA west. Every single server is 200% damage in the playable servers for my region for ping. Why does everyone want to play extra damage?????? Can I play a game with standard rules?? So annoying to be 1 tapped by any sniper at all ranges. And to top it off I haven’t played BF1 really at all so I don’t know the maps at all and I’m getting clapped. I’d love to see standard damage server in west us so I can experience this game closer to how it’s meant to feel
As much there are things that I dislike in BF1, I still loved it and enjoyed it especially the contents. After BF1 every contents and game itself from BFV to 2042 feels lackluster (I still enjoyed BFV regardless but it didn't the quality like BF1 and BF3 or even BF4) I mean sure the next game will be live service no doubt but I just wanted to get a huge amount of content in both launch and especially the post-launch contents in the next Battlefield
Bolt-action rifle sweetspot mechanic is the same kind of an IQ test as spread, and thinking of it as "random instant kills" is an admission of failure to understand the goals of this mechanic. The "sweet spot" encourages players to play to their weapon's effective range (as is the case with every other weapon category), as opposed to "big damage up close and falloff" which is antithetical to the expected use of sniper rifles (i.e. ghetto shotguns). Parabolic damage model rewards positioning by giving the player a greater OHK area (Head and Upper chest on healthy enemies) without the ridiculous consequences of giving snipers max damage all the way until the intended effective range, or inverse damage falloff (damage increases with range).
This is like that IQ curve meme 40 IQ: durrrr the sweet spot mechanic is just random one hit kills” 80 IQ: this full 3 paragraphs you just posted defending it 120 IQ: The sweet spot mechanic is specifically designed to hand free kills to bad players at all times, not randomly, who complained about “weak snipers” in the Frostbite games up to that point. It would be one thing if it were actually TF2 random crits or something, but DICE specifically based it off of average engagement ranges to effectively make every sniper an easy COD sniper without actually making them do 100 damage at all ranges. It encourages the infamous ratty gameplay that makes BF1 such a slog, especially when they’re the only weapon class that doesn’t fire your second bullet 45 degrees to the left of your crosshair with the “high IQ” spread system. Both the sweet spot mechanic and spread mechanics were designed so that a monkey on a typewriter could fall onto and Xbox controller and get a kill. And it worked. BF1 sold 20 million copies.
@onemorescout I would love to address the diarrhoea you've graced us with, but you seem to lack the fundamental understanding of geometry, and the capacity to accurately represent facts to support your "argument". TF2 crits are laughable, and if your gun fires "45 degrees to the left", that's on you for leaving the krummlauf on. Kindly learn how the game functions before making such deranged statements.
The server browser in US West region like I am with mixed region and low ping, is hella empty that DICE didn't emphasize Battlefield 1🤷♂️ General Liu rifle is disgusting on custom hardcore mode in bolt action mode😬 Had a lot unique guns choice compare to BF5. But the movement wasn't best. Each time you kill an enemy, they wounded for not to recovery first
Battlefield one was a nice looking game had some good game modes, but it is way too sniper heavy which is very annoying. Lots of players that don’t play the objective. Earning all your weapons was a pain in the ass too. I still think Battlefield five was better than battlefield one, I like the slide the fast gameplay. But at the end of the day, Battlefield four is still king
the movement certainly isn't the best but i just see you just ad strafing the entire time in this video and the enemy players still can't hit you lmao. If you could bunny hop and jump slide in this game I don't think you could ever get hit once haha
Hell nah. I run into at least 1 level 500 sweat every match who makes the game not fun. Usually it’s 2 or 3. In battlefield 1, there are way less of those types. I’m not saying this because I’m a noob. Just over a thousand hours in bf1 and over 500 in bf3 and bf4 each.
this channel feeds of negativity. battlefield 5 is solid and 2042 is so over hated it’s mind blowing. i’ve been playing 2042 since february 2023 (so i missed the horrible launch) and it’s been an utter blast. stop the cap lil dude
bro, BFV was at least 'decent'... not quite as atmospheric as BF1, but probably better in a lot of ways. 2042 is garbage, but BFV was good too. I'd love a modern BFV.
@@gorillagroddgamingwell what was good to you then? I loved BF1, like many others. Much more than BF4 which you will probably say. BF3 and BC2 are GOATED though.
I hated battlefield 1..the guns are awful and its like aiming with a spatula as a scope on most guns and you feel very weak as a player with limited fire power and range
Nope, you still don't get it. BC1, BC2, BF3, BF4 all had suppression, spread and difficult gun mechanics. Messing with that Changes the time to kill and accuracy making the game assault dominant and guns shooting from extreme ranges lasering people. Nobody can move. All playstyles except for extremely aggressive were erased. Support class destroyed basically no more mid range style play. BF5 and onward was all crap. Your only partially right in these comments which is understandable cause you were probably a 11yrs old in 2006. Battlefield is a suppression, spread, recoil difficult gun playing game and if you don't like it , play COD if you don't like suppression. Any idiot with a HRO fire assault rifle will destroy every other gun at most ranges including sniper without suppression. I though you comments would help this game in the future but holy freak. I'm out. Unsubscribed.
I mean what do you expected from a channel that talks only about adding movement in battlefield. Its literally the same thing as trying to argue with a cod fan why movement ruined the todays CoDs but they will just call you bad because you don’t like movement. Its literally pointless arguing with these people
