Mate these games were happening all night were everyone just wanted to hang out instead of fighting it was beautiful. It would be my favourite night of not just playing halo but of all time. Im not crying because it ended im crying because it happened and i was apart of it
Yeah my game was just like this except we were playing resort. We were all fighting for about 1 minute and the rest of the match the whole lobby was racing around in the mongeese haha. It really was one of the most beautiful times in gaming I’ve ever experienced! :’)

Not gonna lie almost teared up a bit watching this, it's our childhood, we all would come from school the streets wherever n would play xbox live n play halo 3 for hooourrrssss till ya eyes felt so dry eye drops couldn't even refresh em..shit changed so much since these times it's fuckin crazy yo.. forever will be remembered.
what id give for them to release this game again but as a new game, with identical everything on xbox one/pc so we can play it without MCC and its boring ranks and interface, id love to grind for 50s in the og halo 3 again
@@jasperfox6821 Yeah, but that's not what people are talking about, the 360 is a nostalgia machine, Halo 3 made people's greatest memories of playing video games, it's just sad for them to know that the servers were shut down when they grew up playing on them in a match, knowing they couldn't anymore on a convenient console they love. And I agree with Jasford, the interface is boring in MCC, for improvement, they'll need to add the old menus back for each game, while the games are still there, they can be really confusing and don't fit what controller users should have as players mostly came from Console, with that it makes it a bit frustrating to navigate around it.
@@pifre3051 I agree, the menus are a bit on the dull side, but serve their purpose none the less, I used to play halo 3 on 360 back in 2012, yeah not 2007, there are reasons I wasn't able to get a 360 back then, but yeah, the menus for the original game did look alot better, full of detail, and what not.
@@jasperfox6821 I'd have to say that every Halo game's menu is really convenient from CE to 5, they should just stick with those old menus, or give us options to which one to have. We need customizability for the Mnu.
Halo 3 is a big part an favorite pass time of my childhood with all the crazy funny random people I had fun with an talked crap too an got mad at it all in the end makes good memories, I had recently bought a Xbox again before the servers went down an I am a bit sad I missed out on this I don't have internet or live anymore but im still here, good times in them earlier 2000s
What a great way to end a final OG Halo 3 match online! I did that as well with the people I was playing with/against and it was one for the memory books.
I may have been 5 months late but I don't really watch halo content but this is sad halo 3 was my favorite halo game and I will miss all the fun and cool stuff in the game rip halo 3 4 and reach
I was able to play a few days before the servers shut down. Was t able to play the last day, had a stomach virus and was stuck in bed. :( Still have many good memories with Halo 3, was glad I got to experience the golden age of Xbox (imo).
I remember how I first started playing this game my older bro finally bought a Xbox and we put enough money together to buy halo 3 since he spent most of it on the console and we played the campaign on co-op. We started by doing the same thing except on halo 1 and OG Xbox man it makes me wanna cry cuz the memories especially when our fav cousins would come on too and we all had Xbox live ahhh good times
greatest game ever!! nothing like it anymore just such a clean game, the ranking system was gangster!! took true skill to be good at and level up, so much fun playing with friends, in custom games too, split screen, the campaign.. has to be the best game i'll ever play in my life!!!!
There's something always about the last times of a game were there js just this peace and quietness, players stop killing each other and just walk and mess around in the lasts minutes with the behavior of "Yeah" this is happening... ⏳ 😔
Just because of Halo games I wanted to buy Xbox 360 but when I found out that servers are shutting down I pulled out and bought MCC on PC. To be honest I'm happy with MCC on PC. I'm Playstation guy and I always wanted to buy Xbox 360 to play Halo games online, it's just sad. One wise man once said: "We have to remember these days because there is no guarantee that will last forever".
Damn the one thing aside from all this is getting on thr weekends and playing infection. Honestly 343 studios is goign to fuck up this game so badly it's terrifying......
I didn’t turn off my Xbox 360 since the servers shut down and was able to keep my recon armor until I had a power surge and it shut off my Xbox 360 a few days ago
i didnt play Halo 3 lots i had it for the 360 but i was really young maybe 9 and i remember playing the campaign lots and 1v1 my family on sandtrap i never played the multiplayer lots
Still don’t understand why they decided to shut down the servers. Even if 0 people were playing they should have kept them up out of respect for Xbox’s flagship franchise.
I wish I could of played, and I could of paid for xbox live again, but I forgot.... oh well, we still have mcc, so it's not all bad, and mcc is gonna get more players now anyway.
I'm gonna save for a PC to be especially for the living room connected to the TV, Halo doesn't feel as great on a monitor with a set of keyboard/mice in front of you.

@PharoTalon If the menu, progression and battle pass which doesn't effect the gameplay at all considering it's literally the same game on MCC doesn't make you wanna play H3 on there then that sounds like a "you" problem. Be grateful you technically can still H3 online unlike H2 from 2010 to 2014 when you literally couldn't

Reading through these comments just has me laughing in utter disbelief. Halo 3 was garbage lol. The only people who see and think of H3 being the best Halo are people whose first Halo was H3 lol. Halo 2 will forever be the best Halo, and one of the best FPS's in general. Halo 3 was gay from the get go, with the introduction of lame ass equipment like bubble shield lol. So lame. I had no idea that people were still playing that garbage this whole time. I literally moved on at the first chance there was, and never looked back. Garbage game mechanics and garbage maps.
It doesn’t always have to be the best to mean the most to some people. This was THAT GAME for so many in a whole generation of gamers, whether your high and mighty, superior taste liked it or not. halo 1 was the best wdym. with the introduction to the lame ass BR and stupid infinite ammo sword on multiplayer. like wtf were they thinking lmaoooo. don't get me started on the unpatched glitched button combos you could do like bxr, bxb, quad shot etc.
