i loved this. The whole imagery of bebop and rocksteady on the Serengeti and krang with his heavies bellybomb and slash was just awesome and stuck with me pretty much forever.

Excellent video. I love these stories, this is “my” version of the Turtles. I think the Bob line is also referencing Killer Bob from Twin Peaks.

I've seen the guy with drew the Archie TMNT Adventures (He also did Muppet Babies) at several cons. Also, referencing Bob and the Subgeni in a mainstream comic aimed at kids! Also, I love the bird on Rocksteady's head

you might also be intersted to know that in the 2003 cartoon there were plans to have chr'ell take control of a triceraton by laching onto his face and becoming the tri-shredaton

TMNT Adventures #25 was one of the first comics I ever bought. I saw Slash on cover, actually looking like the action-figure (unlike the cartoon version), and my tiny child brain was like, "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!" Of course, at that age it was probably my aunt or grandma's money. Edit: Must've been casually flipping through it to notice Slash, since he doesn't appear on the cover. Oops.

I remember reading this comic. For a villain like Krang, it feels like a let down for a final appearance to me, honestly.

I feel like Archie’s Shredder and Krang deserve their own separate videos.

There are some characters in the Archie Universe that I am not sure I should make videos just yet, because of the "Forever War". Shredder is a key character in that story, and who knows when that will come out. I pretty much covered Krang in all my Archie videos. But I may end up doing videos on them eventually, even if I never get my hands on "Forever War".

@@TheTurtleNexus It’s probably just the whole war Russia’s in right now. I’m sure he’ll talk with about the issue you’re having when he can. As for the Archie Shredder video, just work what you’ve got, I’m sure you’ll do fine.

OMFG!??!? BOB!??!?! it's a reference to Bob Dobbs, the deity of The Church of the Subgenius. I didn't get the reference back then as a kid. ahAH I have this comic somewhere at my dads house, I can't wait to get my hands on all those books. "edit": I posted this before you explained it was from TCOTS. I instantly knew as soon as I read Bob. Hail Bob, and may he not lie about Xday again ffs!

I know some micro-series will have videos, for sure, but some others are very small stories that are too connected to the main series. Both Mirage and IDW. So I will talk about them, while talking about a bigger arc.

I was going to, but there is this other channel publishing TMNT videos every day (or every 4 hours), and those were all 1987/Shredder's revenge related, so I decided to change directions to let them publish all they've got about that game. There is no point in both of us releasing the same videos in the same week, and because it takes me longer to do these videos, I always come out way after everyone watched their version (this happened with the Tempestra and Bebop videos). But I will still be doing them, I am just trying not to compete with the big channels 😛

Any idea why the TMNT Adventures did not use Krang's android body? I think it only appears in one panel of one of the early issues.

They used it when they adapted the first few episodes. But the writers didn't enjoy many of the changes done by the show, so they probably just wanted to stand out.

So does this predate Chr’ell as a technical fusion of Krang and Shreeder in concept?

Yes. However, that is a concept that was already considered for the 1987 cartoon (I think I went over it in my Krang video).

also bebop and rocksteady are heavily hinted at something else in the comics the cartoon could have used for controversy seriously murphy painted that picture also he should have been made watch the cartoon at least to get an idea but his own ideas were good but still he should have known more

Well, it is easy to forget, but back then, the Fred Wolf cartoon WAS controversial for its "violence." And while it wasn't the only reason... it was the official justification for the show's cancelation.

5:32 and that was the end of Krang, Bebop and Rocksteady? As we know that was not the end of Shredder since he was supposed to be in the cancelled grand finale the Forever wars along with the Rat king and a few others who I can’t remember.

Yeah, I mentioned that Shredder would still appear from time to time. He would appear in a few arcs even before Forever War.

Shredder came back a couple more times after this and he got to make good on his promise of owing the Turtles for saving him from Krang; but that meant not killing Splinter. So his sense of honour, no matter how twisted, was still there. The last two issues of the comic were a flashback to when all four villains were still together.

Well, the mutagen works differently in other versions. Remember Out Of The Shadows?

Yes, but Bebop and Rocksteady back then were tied only to their origin in the Fred Wolf cartoon. I think Steve just didn't know the mutations had rules in the cartoon and made up new ones.

@@TheTurtleNexus This may have been based on the 87 cartoon, but this is still its own version of the TMNT, so I can look past it. Bebop and Rocksteady in the 87 show did tend to forget they were once human before being mutated (see Planet Of The Turtleoids).

@@lucasgibbs4050 And Plan Six From Outer Space when they didn't recognize their human forms anymore after being holographically turned into humans to infiltrate Channel Six, yet their reflections in the mirrow were still their mutated selves.
