I was raised with a brother 1 year older - my father taught us the “hippy” way to decide on how to share something we can split: One of us gets to cut, the other gets to decide on the half they want. Best, fair method to decide.

Fun fact: The guy is Julian Curi, the creator of Gruff, and the director and writer of these shorts in the channel. And the actress is his wife, Kristin Curi. And I believe the cat is also theirs, named Jack! (Based on their Live After show for Gruff)

I relate to this so much lmfao. My entire career plan is so I can spoil my cats. My foster momma kitty wouldn’t eat anything or drink water(still not sure why tbh) so I usually try chicken broth(just water chicken was boiled in) well we didn’t have chicken. The first day we had her she was eating fine and she definitely prefers seafood. We had some shrimp and I decided to try that. She immediately drank the shrimp broth which was a great sign bc we had been doing fluids as her only source of hydration. For the heck of it, I tried giving her an actual piece of shrimp. It was a success and now she will eat normal wet food again bc she regained strength from the shrimp! But yeah, idek how long I’ve spent cutting up the shrimp into little bits for her, but I couldn’t do more than a few at a time at first bc I really didn’t want to risk scarf and barf and her stomach was small from not eating. She still only drinks shrimp broth but I really don’t care. The babies are gaining without kmr and they’re all doing great. Yes ik it barely relates but gotta comment for the algorithm lol

In case anybody needs this: in order to share fairly, whomever makes the split, the other gets to chose first. When splitting, person A will make it as even as possible, knowing person B will want the bigger piece themselves.
