The Last Man on Earth 2x17 - Smart and Stupid
When Mike (Jason Sudeikis) starts coughing up blood, the Malibu crew assume he has the virus and confine him to a quarantine bubble. Phil (Will Forte) decides to spend what might be his brother's last night on earth singing their favourite karaoke song together.

One of the greatest comedy tv shows that there is nowadays. Super funny, clever, unique and very sad sometimes. I cried so much with all the Mike and Tandy storyline.

My theory is he contracted the virus while at the death camp with Pat, he visited it once, he also was put there unconcious and exposed to the virus with no protection. Whether or not this is the case, i feel like it makes the most sense. This scene is bittersweet and even though they didn't have long with each other, they still got to see each other, that's something no other survivor has gotten to feel, even at the cost of losing that family.

It was wrong but maybe not? In canon Mike figures it was a cold and he got especially sick because his immune system was weakened by being in a sterile environment for three years, but what if he was immune to the virus like his brother but still got it because his immune system was weakened enough to let the virus take hold, but still good enough to fight it off in the end. I mean, it's just a theory but it's possible.

I have to be honest I kind of hate how they gave Mike so many scenes and made us all excited for them to reunite and see them get along again just to immidietly kill him off. I guess his death made sense but it was kind of just uneccesary sadness.

its the kind of stuff they would probably deal with realistically anyway. if you were with a group chances are one of you can get infected, even if that one is the person you have bonded with

Claudio Morelli I can agree with that, and now that I've seen seasons 3 and 4 I'm actually appreciative of how Mike died because he didn't have to live to see the fucking mess that is season 3 and 4. Lewis death was the dumbest thing I have ever seen on television. It wasnt slightly funny, it served no purpose, it litterally wasted my time getting to know Lewis in scenes about him and Mark and like over 20 scenes of him learning to fly a plane. I wish I stopped watching there because its only gotten worse and worse. Season 4 is all just "baby's baby's baby's marraige marraige baby's baby's"

That's not who Todd is, have you watched the show at all? He's like the most caring guy in the world. He was just jealous that Tandy was spending less time with him because he's his only friend on earth. As soon as he saw Mike cough up blood he dropped all of that stuff
