THE LAST Naruto The Movie Reaction and Review! 

Nobody suffered more in this movie than Scarf-kun.

When I was watching Naruto as a kid I never thought I would hear someone say “LeTs gEt BAcK tO eArTH”

Sasuke really popped out for 10 seconds to save the Village and flexed on his Sensei/Hokage with his own jutsu 😂

One thing I really liked about this movie is seeing Naruto’s growth as he becomes an adult. He already acquired all the power he needs, so he polished his skills. He doesn’t even need to rely on Shadow Clones for close combat anymore. He can 1 v 10 using just his hand to hand ability and that’s so cool to see. Not to mention that chakra reserves do grow as a shinobi matures into an adult, so he literally got more power on top of that. As for Sasuke? Nuff said. Lol

Some unexplained parts of the movie are explained in more detail in the novel version of this movie. It also fleshed out Toneri's character to be like Gaara growing up in solitude. I'll go through some things you missed in the movie and were explained well in the novel. 1.Toneri and all the Otsusuki clan members in the moon had Byakugan but was taken away at birth to supply power to the Tenseigan, this was done for thousands of years since their arrival hence why Toneri was so mad when Naruto and Hinata destroyed it. 2.Toneri grew up alone in the castle as the last of his clan hence why he firmly believed in his fathers teachings having no one to guide him and he never doubted his own sense of justice. He thought of carrying out his fathers teachings as his purpose to exist. That's why when Hinata told him the real teachings of Hamura he was reluctant to accept them. His beliefs were solidified even more after his father's death. He didn't have any social interaction with anyone other than puppets so he doesn't understand the feelings of other people. That is why he kidnapped Hanabi and still believed that Hinata would still be willing to marry him, overall he is a victim of circumstance like you know most Naruto villains. 3.Having eyeballs taken at their birth, Otsusuki members have developed a new jutsu to "see" through their mind. It's more like sensing really and they can use it from the moon to spy on the earth. Little Toneri used this to spy on Hinata while she was a kid because his father told him that he would one day marry her as it's their "fate". Some connection with the fate themes of the Hyuga clan there. 4.Toneri uses fake things to cover up his solitude and it's suggested by how he created fake people(through puppets), fake eyes, a fake sun, a fake moon essentially his own fake world. This alludes to him not knowing what true love is. He wanted Hinata just to become his wife so that he can create a new race of humans with her after the world destruction. His "love" isn't real. He wanted to create a new world with a new race of human. That's why he chose Hinata, a girl who have inherited Hamura's blood the strongest. 5.The giant bubbles of genjutsu were memory traps created by the crab, most of the shinobi from the moon uses bubble based Ninjutsu. 6.The city where a war took place and Naruhina went on a date is the place where the 2 branches of the moon fought with each other and died. 7.The hidden cloud have always gathered and tried to steal technology from other villages(Hinata herself and Kushina were kidnapped by them) So it makes sense why they would have a chakra canon. It's more explained in the novel. 8.There are a bunch of new scenes where Choji saved Mirai and Kurenai from a fire, Kiba and Shino helping Teuchi to close his shop and evacuate etc.. Mirai is 2 years old. 9.Toneri's rebirth chamber is a special place where Hinata and Toneri can fall into a deep sleep state for thousands of years after the destruction of the earth so that they can wait for the earth to become stable for life with time. Toneri also had thousands of male and female pairs of animals from the earth trapped inside bubbles. He was really trying to kickstart a new civilization. 10.There's a lot of emotions and inner monologues in the novel letting us grasp the feelings better, Naruto cries at one point after Hinata was taken, he feels like it's his punishment for being so dense, Hinata's reason for loving Naruto is more explained as it's based on gratitude and admiration etc..

Rip to the director Tsuneo Kobayashi. Like his friend, Osamu Kobayashi NARUTO the Last was one of last thing he directed before he died

as much as i love everyones reaction to this movie it always bothers me that they skip the wedding portion at the end, it really is a beautiful sequence.

I love how Sakura helped Hinata with Naruto it’s really adorable I love there friendship.

This movie was the perfect ending for this long tale. I had delayed to watching it for the longest time ever since it would officially put an end to Naruto. The feels man. Shoutout to Sasuke. Barely had any role. Came in, brought Hiashi, saved the village, drop in one line and leave. What a chad. Now I wait for some of the key episodes of Boruto.

Kishimoto didn't write the movie but he made the writers who wrote it rewrite it so many times to the point that he thought he annoyed the writers. You can look up the interview on YT.

Seems like Kishimoto did give the idea of the scarf from his experience receiving one from his wife. So maybe he also learned a little bit how to express romance

Damn Carson, I actually never thought about it like that. Saying Toneri is the moon, isolated. Naruto is the sun, being the warmth for the Earth (Hinata). The “moon” is crashing down on the “earth” (hinata).

This just makes me happy. The action is cool but I can only smile that Naruto and Hinata got together and have a seemingly genuine love.

One small correction, but I'm pretty sure Naruto and his peers are around 19 in this movie, since the war ended on Naruto's 17th birthday and the movie takes place around two years later.

Toneri stole her chakra that's why she couldn't infuse any in order to walk on the wall... And movies liked to give colors to the Rasengan and Rasenshuriken but they are still just normal ones

I really just enjoy how this was a romance story and I loved it lol. Hinata being sucked into an arranged married essentially and Naruto being the guy on the outside who loves her and tries to get to her. And I don’t mind it expanding on the Kaguya stuff. The animation on the fights was great & Omg seeing them have kids makes me so happy 😍😍naruto and Hinata are the best

The music in this is so good. Also, I love all their designs, they look great!

When I first saw the crab I found it fitting, even if a bit surprising. I wonder when creating this movie, if the creators were aware that the Crab is the symbol of Cancer, who's astrological planet . . . is the moon lol. This is off topic a bit, but it's why Sailor Moon's birthday is June 30th, because she's a Cancer lol. Also as NaruHina fan, I had been waiting for over 10 years for this couple become cannon lol. The chosen heir of Hamura, who had the Spirit chakra and moon tattoo in the battle with the 10 tails, and Naruto, the chosen heir of the Body chakra and sun tattoo in the battle with the 10 tails of the sage of six paths, they get together. It's curious if the combination of six paths yin and yang chakra combined the body of the Uzumaki clan enhanced by a hashirama arm combined with the eyes of the Hyuuga clan, the genetic potential there is incredible.

Along with the Kakashi and Itachi arcs, you need to watch the remaining episodes of Shippuden before watching Boruto. They're just as canon as the movie and even take place after it.

Some of you might think and ask why did Naruto's rasengan had changed. The thing is that's actually the first design of rasengan the anime just changed it to blue.

The reason for He has Yellow Rasenshuriken because on Original Manga the true colour of all Rasengan and Rasenshuriken is Yellow and not Blue. Kishimoto wanted it that it has original Yellow colour from Manga for this very Movie.

Toneri moved the moon out of the orbit towards earth so that it's gravitational pull would make eachother collide. He's using physics, not that he is that powerful to hurl the moon at the earth.

Writer didn't let Toneri meet Sasuke because if Toneri talked shit about destroying Earth in front of Sasuke,Toneri would soon join his dead clan in less than 5 minutes and movie length would be too short.That's why Sasuke got less screen time in the movie

Crab is a guardian of passage to the moon, becouse the pattern on the moon resembles a Crab, or a Rabit (hence Kaguya the Rabit Goddess) Moon is also associated with dreaming and memories (hence the visions while passing the tunnel)

Idk if you planned on it but you should check out the filler arc that takes place between 432-450. It’s called “Jiraiya Shinobi Handbook: The Tale of Naruto the Hero”. It’s just Tsunade’s dream while she’s caught in the Infinite Tsukuyomi but it’s a really interesting alternate reality. Basically it’s a world where Naruto has parents and the Uchiha Rebellion didn’t happen so they’re all alive. The rest of the world is similar but obviously different so you see parts of the story retold but with the butterfly effect of Minato as 4th Hokage and the Uchiha Clan being alive.

Kishimoto had some influence on the plot since the red scarf was his idea but yeah, he generally found romance beyond teases to be embarrassing since these characters were like his children. Hinata's an in-universe mirror to that and the idea was seeing her grow stronger would eventually overcome his own nervousness but that never happened. Seeing the movie though gave him the closure to Naruto and Hinata he wanted since it'd been planned from as early as the Pilot chapter, which came out 2 years before series did. Fun fact: Naruto's Japanese VA wasn't originally a supporter of Naruto and Hinata getting together (she'd wanted Narut and Sakura) but seeing Himawari made her change her mind and has been a strong supporter of the couple ever since.

Fun kinda annoying fact rumor has it that author forgot to draw the Byaakugan on Boruto and Himawari so he retconned it so that the Byaakugan has to be awakenned like the Sharingan

why is naruto using "shadow" clone jutsu at 2:52? I was sure he didn't know about that jutsu until he stole the scroll after failing in the academy... Also they were actual failed shadow clones, instead of those duds he got when trying to perform the clone jutsu.
