Another fishing season has come to an end, sadly couldn't get out to enjoy the last few days of the season so put together 2 clips from our last two sessions so hope you enjoy even though they are short. Look forward to some pike and stocked trout fishing videos coming, got lots planned for the channel over winter!

The fly used on the first fish looks like a kopperbassenn pattern I use. Is this the same, or what is it if u don't mind me asking

Hi there mate! Not 100% sure on the fly name but it is very similar apart from the one I used is more soft and fluffy compared to the scraggly look of the kopperbassen on google. This day I had tried everything and there were fishing jumping everywhere but showed no interest in the flies I was throwing so i swapped to this pattern and within 20 mins I was in!

Thanks Dave, appreciate this as always shame the season has come to an end, Wondering what my next steps will be with regards to fishing, planning on chasing pike this winter via Loch Lomand, what’s your winter plans dave?

@theanglingfront all the fly stuff is away. Normally have a go for salmon on the tweed in November with Massimo and Chris. However having a rest. Might not fish at all till March. I used to go seafishing near my old hometown Stranraer fir winter cod and whiting in the Portpatrick area. Probably won't bother. Might do a bit of photography with the drone.
