This episode was beautiful. These two men showed us it is possible to have a long term relationship (16 years) even in an apocalyptic era. You two have a beautiful relationship as well. I pray it lasts through all, even an apocalypse. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Well, Murray Bartlett (Frank) has a husband. And Nick Offerman (Bill) has been married to his wife for twenty years. Pretty good casting choice in actors to portray a loving long term relationship.

Frank has ALS I believe. The reason Bill was out in the open when the raiders came is so he could draw their gunfire, thus keeping it away from Frank, always protecting him 😭❤️

I can't understand why so many people think Frank shouldn't have asked Bill to help end his life. Frank had a terminal illness like ALS and was dying a slow lingering death. Helping him die peacefully was the ultimate act of love. I would do it for my partner and would hope they would do the same for me.

20 minutes of crying at first viewing. And now crying again watching you two!! Probably the most emotiional hour of TV next to episode 6 of Squid Game. This beats it... you two are just impossibly adorable.

This episode was really sad. They got us so invested in their relationship and then they broke our hearts.

They showed in the montage where Bill is making his traps that he was covering the pits with a mixture of mud and grass so to Frank it would seem like solid ground but when he stepped on it broke through the crust and fell in.

It’s interesting that you thought Frank was infected… never heard that in a reaction to this episode (I did give you the side eye when you said that) but I appreciated the original comment (ridiculous as it was): In the first episode, Ellie is looking at the book with musical codes: “So, who’s Bill and Frank? The radio is a smuggling code: the 60’s…” At the end of second episode, Tess: “You need to get her to Bill and Franks.” At the beginning of the third episode, Ellie: “Are Bill and Frank nice?” Joel’s response: “Frank is…” In three episodes before Frank falls into the hole, the show tells you that Frank will be part of Bill’s life for the foreseeable future. Musician/Lyricist, Stephen Sondheim, said one of the problem with today’s society is they don’t listen… true. And yes, Bill being in the middle of the street, unprotected, was stupid (bad writing and set up from the creators). And I’ve heard a few other commentaries mention the piano being in tuned: I don’t get it!?!? THE PIANO IS HIS; BILL HAS MANY TALENTS AS WE SAW HIM CONTINUE TO SET UP THE TOWN TO BE HIS; HE PROBABLY KNOWS HOW TO TUNE THE PIANO - A piano, I’m sure, he has played in the last four years. That will be my guess… Other than that, decent commentary. I loved the affection you gave one another after we lost Bill and Frank; that touched my heart. I’ll watch some more of your reactions.

Just to add to all the well done detail, in the last years, when Frank was ill, during their little walk we could see the flowers are all still alive but when Joel came in they were dead, so that means that in the last days, Bill was taking care of them even tough he didnt want to keep up the neighborhood at first 🥲 and if you want a little comparison from the game, we come in and Bill is still alive and says Frank left a few days ago, we then find him hanging in an other house and then Bill gives us weapons and the car so we leave, its not that explicit in the game but we know for sure that hes gay (youll see the car scene in the next ep wich is exactly like the game lol) and he calls Frank his partner, we then read his suicide note and it seems like they fell apart from the dispute they had in the street but instead they werent able to comprimise so he left (thats my theory, its pretty vague in the game). Im glad they were able to make such a beautiful love story out of character that apparently many players didnt realize back then they were a couple, mainly because were with them not for long
