"Infection being passed down to pregnancy is such a tired cliché" It isn't? It's a very natural process. We inherit a lot from our parents, some of the good, some of the bad. Just because it's been used in stories doesn't mean it's tired/bad. "The woman from the second episode said there's no treatment" Indeed, because there's never been an immune person up till that point. People evolve. Adapt. That's literally nature. The woman from the second episode was correct in stating that in 2003, when the outbreak happens, there was no treatment for it nor any on the near horizon. She could not have predicted that someday someone would be infected but would be immune to the effects. This is not a plot hole. "Viewers are supposed to believe that the Fireflies have top of the line equipment and specialists" ...yes? The world ended, but that doesn't mean all equipment suddenly died. All hospitals in the world have equipment, and they've clearly visited multiple (considering we've seen them in the University of Colorado as well with medical supplies). And for specialists, there are many people that survived the outbreak, so the chance of a few specialists to have survived that are desperately working on a cure is not a hard ask to believe at all. And as for the skills/knowledge part... you don't forget that, especially if you use it consistently. They have had to patch up people constantly (especially the Fireflies, for being in constant battle for 20 years) and on top of that have been looking for a cure for those 20 years, so they've clearly been working through many alternatives. Again, not a plot hole. "So if Marlene knows about Ellie's mother's bite causing Ellie's immunity" But she doesn't. Again, not a plot hole. Nobody knows how Ellie got immune, they're simply trying to synthesize what makes Ellie immune to cordyceps so they can inject it into other people and make them immune. If you wanna make a channel about plot holes in movies/games, do it off of complete stories. Not off of "promos". It just leaves you with assumptions instead of facts, and you look like an idiot for doing so, because every single point you made can easily be countered. The story of the Last of Us isn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination. Not in game form or in show form. But the points you brought up are complete non-issues.
